Stoke City have been backed into 1/2 from 4/6 to avoid Premier League relegation this season after the appointment of Paul Lambert as manager on Monday.
Lambert, who has two successive promotions on his CV from his Norwich City days, has been out of work since parting company with Wolverhampton Wanderers in May 2017 and his recruitment has seen Stoke receive immediate support to survive.
...despite currently sitting in the relegation zone ahead of their Monday evening trip to Old Trafford.
The club confirmed the appointment after seemingly missing out on a host of other targets including Derby County’s Gary Rowett, Quique Sanchez Flores and Republic of Ireland boss Martin O’Neill, all of whom had been the subject of significant gambles last week.
