Norway are one of the sides that are going under the radar for their performances, winning 3/3 of their group games against Switzerland, Finland and Iceland. Ranked 16th in the World Rankings and managed by British manager Gemma Grainger, who previously coached Wales from 2021-2024. They’ve plenty of goals on their side with Graham-Hansen and Hegerberg in attack, if they can shore up defensively, they will cause other sides problems.

Italy are also unbeaten in this tournament following a scoreless draw with Sweden, a 1-4 win over Wales and a 0-1 win over Belgium. The World Number 13 side have been managed by Andrea Soncin since 2023. In the last couple of years, they’ve had positive results against the Netherlands, Spain, Germany and Sweden, so they are capable of mixing it with the best.

Prediction: Norway 2-1 Italy

Norway have every chance of causing a minor shock in this game, provided they improve at the back.

World Number 6 Sweden are managed by Peter Gerhardsson, who has been managing them since 2017, with the highlights being when they finished third place in the Women’s World Cup in both 2019 and 2023. They have been impressive performer throughout the tournament too, with strong showings against Denmark, Poland and most notably a 4-1 battering of Germany.

England are ranked 5th in the World Rankings and are managed by Sarina Wiegman, who has held the position of England head coach since September 2021 and has become their most successful England Women's coach of all time with a winning record of 47/67 games (70.15%), with the highlight being their Euro Championship success in 2022. Following their opening group defeat to France, they have been comprehensive winners over the Netherlands and Wales.

Prediction: Sweden 0-2 England

Sweden are another side going under the radar, but I think England should have too much quality for them.

Spain have been considered the team-to-beat pre-competition given their status as the reigning World Cup Champions in 2023. Though Jorge Vilda has departed, his replacement, Montse Tomé, has maintained them as a force on the International Stage. In 2025, they’ve been consistent with  9 wins with the sole blot in their form a 1-0 defeat to England. This tournament, they’ve been sensational with 3 wins from 3, 14 goals and only 3 conceded.

Switzerland have surprised many in this competition, given that pre-tournament they had 4 defeats, 2 draws and only 1 win. They opened the tournament with a 1-2 defeat to Norway, but a 2-0 win over Iceland and a 1-1 draw with Finland was enough to reach this stage.

Prediction: Spain 4-02 Switzerland

The biggest mismatch of the quarter-finals, Spain will likely blow them away.

Best Bet: Esther Gonzalez Anytime Scorer – 6/10

Laurent Bonadei has managed France since 2024 after succeeding his former boss, Hervé Renard, in the position. In 2025, they’ve been simply faultless with 11 wins from 11 matches, including beating Norway twice and Brazil. They opened the competition with a 2-1 win over England before continuing their record with a 4-1 win over Wales and a 2-5 victory over the Netherlands.

Christian Wück has managed this Germany side since 2024, following over 20 years of experience in the men’s game, including working with the men’s underage International sides. They’ve been strong in 2025 and pre-tournament were unbeaten, 5 wins and 1 draw. Though they opened their group games with a 2-0 win over Poland and a 2-1 win over Denmark, they were then beaten convincingly 4-1 by Sweden.

Prediction: France 2-1 Germany

France look impressive, and Germany hasn’t hit the standards required of them in this competition, so I think this could be the end of their journey.
