A punter in County Monaghan needed just six results to go their way to end up toasting a mega four-figure win via their Saturday afternoon football bet.
The customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed their accumulator on the BoyleSports app and parted with €10 in the hope that their savvy selections paid off.
The four outright results in the accumulator went smoothly to plan, with Southampton drawing at home to Newcastle (12/5), Sunderland beating a 1 goal handicap at 13/5, while Norwich (7/5) and Peterborough (19/10) both held on for one-goal victories.
The customer was left waiting on more than three goals in both Birmingham v Sheffield Wednesday and Walsall v Wycombe fixtures. Their fate looked sealed with just minutes to go as both games had featured just 3 goals each, but incredibly there was a 4th strike in both games, both coming in the 84th minute.
With all six selections home and hosed, the €10 investment had yielded a stunning profit of €9,730.27 within the space of 90 minutes.
Our Monaghan customer had a nervous wait over the last ten minutes of Saturday’s 3pm kick-offs but it was all worth it in the end to take us for just short of €10,000.
