Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Tips & Preview

David Casey

I thought Willy De Houelle ran better the last day. They didn’t go fast enough for him the last day. We thought Danny was going to go a good gallop and he hacked in front and let a lot of horses into the race. I think you can see a better performance from him coming up. [No tip from David for this race]

Bryan Cooper

Naturally Nimble is the horse I like in this race. I thought he did it last year, and he ran well at Leopardstown. He’s at 12/1 (now into 9/1), and I can see him going off shorter on the day.

Robbie Power

Willy De Houelle has had a couple of nice runs, and I think he’ll have a big chance in the Fred Winter.

Johnny Dineen

I fancy Total Look very, very strongly in the Fred Winter. I think it’s running off of 125 in Ireland, and it might be 130 in England. I’d say that’s a lot in hand now at 130. I’ve backed it, and I’m not finished backing it either. I think it will be the favourite when the time comes.

John ‘Shark’ Hanlon

Mulryan’s [owner] horse, Naturally Nimble. Mulryan won this race last year with Lark In The Mornin and he’s the horse for me in the Fred Winter.

John ‘Shark’ Hanlon’s Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Tip: Naturally Nimble – 9/1

Naturally Nimble – 9/1

I’ll give a shout out to Wendrock in the Fred Winter. Gordon Elliott actually only has 3 entries; he’s the most successful trainer in the history of the race. He has only 3 entries, only one horse shorter than 66/1. I thought Wendrock ran a lot better than where he finished in the grade one at the Dublin Racing Festival.

David Jenning’s Fred Winter Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Tip: Wendrock – 14/1

Wendrock – 14/1
