A punter in Co Cavan was left in shock on Friday night when four lucky numbers saw them transform some loose change into a whopping amount of €16,500 in the EuroMillions.
The anonymous customer placed the tiny stake of just €0.50 in their local BoyleSports shop on the four numbers 3, 11, 21 and 27 to be revealed during Friday evening’s EuroMillions draw.
The accumulator only cost the punter €0.50 and when all four numbers rolled out of the machine the ambitious bet overcame the mammoth odds of 33,000/1.
