A Dublin native is thanking their lucky stars after they received a massive lunchtime boost by turning one coin into a huge five-figure sum in the blink of an eye.
The player took a €2 punt at the Bingo in a BoyleSports shop in the capital, picking numbers 2, 10, 19, 30, 33 and 46 to be six of the 35 numbers picked out in the 12.16pm draw on Tuesday afternoon.
A prize of up to €100,000 was available if the selections were the first six numbers called and all looked doomed when 8 was the first ball out, not featuring amongst their selections.
But a tasty consolation was on the way because in an incredible turn of fortune, all six of the next numbers called were exactly the numbers they had picked out.
As all six of their numbers came out within the first seven selected, they were able to go back up to the counter and swap their ticket for an astounding €20,000.
