All-Ireland winning Dublin Football manager in 2011 Pat Gilroy has been the subject of a massive gamble on Tuesday afternoon to become the next manager of the Dublin Senior hurling team.

The former St Vincent’s clubman started the day at 6/1, but due to the overwhelming demand to back him to be the next Dubs boss in Hurling, he was quickly cut into 3/1.

The demand did not stop there and the last price he was backed at with us was even money.""

Pat Gilroy will always be the man who will be remembered for bringing Sam Maguire back to the capital in 2011 after a 16 year wait.

Judging by the demand this afternoon, it looks like he could be swapping football for hurling and hopefully leading the boys in blue to some more silverware.
