The Dublin Bay South constituency market has revealed some key movers following the results of another poll.
Leader of the Green Party Eamon Ryan lies on just 7% sparking real concerns for the party in the upcoming General Election. Ryan is now 5/2 from his odds on price of 2/7, but the bad news doesn’t stop there as the lack of faith in the party becomes apparent.
Sinn Fein’s Chris Andrews is another big mover to report having been cut into 1/8 from 11/10 as he sits comfortably on 17%.
Lucinda Creighton, the leader of Renua, received some shocking results, only managing 13% and has been pushed out to 1/3 from 1/7 as a result. Also on 13% is Labour’s Kevin Humphreys who, unlike Lucinda Creighton, shortened off the back of this and is now 8/15 from 8/11 to gain a seat.
On 11% is Fianna Fail’s Jim OCallaghan, who has been eased to 7/2 from 5/2 with Fine Gael’s Kate O’Connell currently on 10% seeing her become a threat for one of the four available seats as she’s cut into 4/5 from 11/10.
In the Dublin Rathdown constituency, the Green Party’s Catherine Martin offers the party a silver lining as she shortens into 3/1 from 5/1. However with only three seats available, the market is heavily dominated by Independent candidate Shane Ross (1/50), Josepha Madigan (1/3) and Alan Shatter (4/11), both of Fine Gael.
