Night 2

Roman Reigns v Cody Rhodes

Iyo Sky v Bayley

Seth Rollins v Drew McIntyre

Logan Paul v Kevin Owens v Randy Orton

La Knight v AJ Styles

The Pride v The Final Testament

Roman Reigns @ 11/4 v Cody Rhodes @ 1/4

Inarguably the biggest match of the weekend the “Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns has been Universal Champion for an incredible 1310 days since he won the belt on August 30 th , 2020, when he was victorious at Payback back in 2010 when he defeated Bray Wyatt who was champion and Braun Strowman.

A repeat of last year's Main Event when plenty felt that Cody should’ve been given the victory, for all intents and purposes “The Story” isn’t complete yet. The stipulation for the match will be decided by the tag result on Night (1), with it likely to be a Bloodlines rules match based on current betting projections.

That is likely to be the optimal way for WWE to tell the story and cast doubt in the minds of the WWE fans. However, that being said the momentum is in Cody’s favour and I think it’s now the time to finally release the trigger and complete “The Story”

Winner: Cody Rhodes

Bayley @ 1/4 v Iyo Sky @ 11/4

This match is all about Bayley which is rather aptly shown in the current betting odds in what has been another match build-up which has arguably been lacklustre due to WWE’s emphasis on other matches.

However, both of these are incredible athletes and have the talent to steal the show on Night (2) if given enough time to do their magic. Iyo has been largely underwhelming as Champion (often due to time given to her) but Bayley looks well on course to win the title.

Bayley is one of the most selfless superstars in the industry, spending her time with younger talents and giving them the chance to shine. She is the only one of the famed Horsewomen never to have a Mania moment and expect her to earn her well-earned flowers finally here.

Winner: Bayley

Seth Rollins @ 15/8 v Drew Mclntyre @ 4/11

Seth Rollins is one of several who will be effectively “double jobbing” for WrestleMania weekend which is another testament to his status as one of the workhorses in the company currently.

Seth has done a stellar job as World Champion, but the build-up has been all about Drew Mclntyre who has put in a masterclass in promo work and Social Media stirring which has made this one of the most enjoyable builds of all the matches

Drew’s also done well at incorporating an injured CM Punk into the WrestleMania build with his promo skills, while allowing Rollins to concentrate on Bloodline matters too. Drew has certainly carried this feud at times and deserves to get his plaudits with World Champion success on Night (2).

Winner: Drew McIntyre

Logan Paul @ 4/7 v Kevin Owens @ 11/4 v Randy Orton @ 11/4

Say and think what you like when it comes to Logan Paul, but his performances, progress and athleticism shown since debuting a little over 2-years ago have frog-splashed silenced the vast majority of the doubters regarding his professional wrestling pedigree and for that, he deserves immense credit a natural on the mic and in the ring.

The exposure he brings along with his new Prime Partnership with the WWE means he heads into the event as a favourite for this match despite being up against two former World Champions Owens and Orton the latter at a minimum who is a bonafide Hall of Famer. This is one I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a surprise winner and I think Owens is a value bet.

Winner: Kevin Owens

LA Knight @ 1/4 v AJ Styles @ 11/4

LA Knight is an example to many that with the right graft, determination and ability one can organically become one of the most over-stars in the company bringing himself from the depths and fear of being released to one of the top performers and merchandise sellers in the company.

While his clash with AJ Styles is less than what some would’ve hoped for him at WrestleMania 40 he is still going to face one of the best in the business these last 20 years in what could be another huge win in his career.

It’s far more important that Knight wins this one in the context of his career and it would be a huge error if he isn’t afforded the victory at the weekend.

Winner: LA Knight

The Pride @ 1/3 vs The Final Testament @ 9/4

With respect to the talents of both teams, this match is very much going to be filled under the “filler” category at WrestleMania even if they still could put on a show. Both teams have failed to get quite over in WWE and the winner of this match will likely get one last chance, with the loser likely to be broken up and repackaged.

This could go either way, but I think there is more of a potential upside in backing The Final Testament, with Lashley’s legacy sown up already in The Pride and a split between Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford something which has been hypothesised for quite a while now.

Winner: The Final Testament
