1,500/1 Odds Smashed On EuroMillions
It took only three lucky numbers to trigger a mammoth five-figure win for a County Cork punter this week when they cashed in on a run of good fortune on the Lotto.
The anonymous winner placed a €20 wager in a BOYLE Sports shop in the county, picking just three numbers to come out in the main EuroMillions draw on Tuesday.
They were left waiting on numbers 5, 17 and 31 and faced odds of 1,500/1 against all three landing, but those odds plummeted as the numbers started to roll out and were smashed completely within seconds.
The lucky run of numbers allowed them to return to the shop and hand over their betslip in return for a staggering total of €30,020.
A spokesperson for BOYLE Sports said:
“Huge congratulations to our County Cork customer who couldn’t have made a better start to the year with three numbers delivering €30,000 profit. Fair play to them for taking on the odds, and we hope they enjoy a treat at the January sales!”
