Portugal were one of the in-form sides in Europe during qualifying for Euro 2024 they had a faultless record winning 10 out of 10 against Slovakia, Luxembourg, Iceland, Bosnia and Liechtenstein. How could it be anyone else? While certainly in the “twilight” of his career Ronaldo (39) remains very much an active threat in front of goal at both club and international level.

Kylian Mbappe – France
The man who almost single-handedly brought France to a World Cup at the last international tournament before coming unstuck to Messi. A lot is expected of the World Class attacker who has 48 goals in 82 games for his country. After only one group goal, a penalty against Poland and having injury issues, he performed well against Belgium, but you suspect there is a lot more to come from him.
