Ahead of this summer’s big tournament, we have taken a look at Germany Euro 2024 odds and the group of the tournament hosts.
Germany Euro 2024 Odds
Tournament hosts Germany have been given odds of 6/1 to win Euro 2024. Those odds suggest that the Germans have a 14.3% chance of success in this tournament.
Those odds make Germany the 3rd favourites for Euro 2024. They come in behind England, who are the 3/1 Euros favourites, and France, who are 7/2 second favourites to win this tournament.
The Iberian peninsula duo of Spain and Portugal are also seen as real threats to challenge for the Euro 2024 title with both countries given odds of 8/1 for the title.

Germany Euro 2024 Group Odds
Germany have been drawn in Group A of Euro 2024 with the country looking to land their 4th Euro Championship success after victories in 1972, 1980 and 1996.
They’ve been drawn with Scotland who made the Group Stage in 1992, 1996 and 2020, Hungary who came third in 1994 and Switzerland who were Quarter-Finalists in 2020.
Germany are strong 4/9 favourites to win Group A at this summer’s Euros after getting what looks like a good group draw on paper.
Hungary and Switzerland, both at 11/2 in the Group A betting are seen as the biggest threats to the Germans for group supremacy while Scotland are viewed as the least likely winner at odds of 8/1 to top Group A.

How Germany Qualified For Euro 2024
Germany qualified for Euro 2024 automatically due to their status as competition hosts.
However, their form in 2023 was poor with 5 defeats, 2 draws and 2 wins, although 1 of those victories did come 2-1 against France.
Germany have started their 2024 season extremely well though with another victory against France this time 0-2 and a 2-1 win against the Netherlands both coming in the March Friendlies.
They have 2 more warm-up games in June against Ukraine and Greece before their Euro 2024 campaign commences.
Head Coach – Julian Nagelsmann
Germany have been managed by Nagelsmann since he was appointed on the 22nd of September 2023. He replaced the sacked Hansi Flick, signing a contract until 31 July 2024. Nagelsmann became Germany's second youngest coach at 36 years old, only behind Otto Nerz, who was 34 when hired in 1926.
Nagelsmann is still only 36 and has already been in senior management for seven seasons having started at Hoffenheim back in 2016 at just 28 years of age. He quickly gained admirers for not only his results on the pitch, bringing them from a relegation dog-fight to Champions League football, but also his attractive pressing style of football.
He had two seasons at RB Leipzig where he similarly impressed before being announced as the Bayern Munich manager on the 27th of April 2021 for a world-record fee for a manager at €25 million. However, despite bringing them a Bundesliga and DFL Supercup in his first season, he was axed and replaced by Thomas Tuchel last season.
Players to Watch
Star Player – İlkay Gündoğan
The German Captain remains an integral player for club (Barcelona) and his country even though he is now 33 years old and has been playing professional football since 2008.
Gundogan has 75 Caps for Germany and 18 Goals. As a midfielder, he can do it all with his 4.45 Shot Creating Actions in the 96th Percentile, 6.96 Progressive Passes in the 85th Percentile and 2.19 Progressive Carries in the 84th Percentile.
His performances will be crucial to Germany’s chances at Euro 2024.
Breakout Star – Jamal Musiala
It may be a slight reach to call Jamal Musiala a “breakout star” considering at 21 he is already in his fourth season playing regularly for Bayern. With Germany, he hasn’t quite shown his potential just yet. First starting in 2021 and 2022 towards the tail end of the latter. Musiala started to become a regular starter at the 2022 World Cup before being hit by a hamstring injury.
Jamal is an elite attacking midfielder with his 4.41 Successful Take-Ons is in the 99th Percentile and 84.1% Pass Completion is in the 96th Percentile.
He is versatile but is likely to play off the right wing for Germany in the summer and is another that will have a huge say in Germany’s chances at the competition.
