The only team ahead of France in the betting to land Euro 2024 is England who are the tournament favourites at odds of 3/1.

France’s Euro 2024 Group Odds

France have been drawn in Group D of Euro 2024 with the country looking to land their third ever Euro Championship success following victories in 1984 and 2000. They’ve been drawn with the Netherlands who won the competition in 1988, Austria whose best performance came when they reached the Round of 16 in 2020 and finally Poland who beat Wales in a playoff to secure their spot.

France are 8/15 favourites to win Group D which will come as no surprise to anyone given their talent and recent exploits at major tournaments.

France’s biggest threat in Group D comes in the form of the Netherlands who are the second favourites in the group betting at 11/4. Meanwhile, Austria (7/1) and Poland (10/1) are viewed as unlikely winners of the group.

How France Qualified For Euro 2024

France qualified for this tournament in emphatic fashion by topping UEFA Euro 2024 qualifying Group B with an unbeaten record. They had 7 wins and 1 draw from their 8 games against the Netherlands, Greece, the Republic of Ireland and Gibraltar.

The French scored a sensational 29 goals across those qualification games and had a watertight defence with only 3 goals conceded.

Head Coach – Didier Deschamps

France have been managed by Deschamps since he was appointed on the 8th of July 2012 as head coach on a two-year contract. He followed in the footsteps of Laurent Blanc, who resigned after the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament.

Since his appointment in 2012, Didier has guided France to a “golden period” in their national side's history. The period commenced with a Euro 2016 runner-up finish before they would go on to win the 2018 FIFA World Cup and finish runners-up in Qatar’s 2022 World Cup plus a UEFA Nations League success.

Deschamps looks all but certain to further improve on his 64.67% Win-Rate with 97 wins, 29 draws and just 24 defeats during his time at the helm.

Players to Watch

Star Player – Kylian Mbappé

The bonafide “World Class” PSG footballer has a phenomenal record for his country. From his 76 caps, he has scored 46 goals which is an average of 0.61 Goals Per Game since debuting for his national team in 2014.

Mbappe came close to catapulting them to retaining a World Cup in 2022 and he’s expected to be key for them come the summer with his club form of 41 goals and 9 assists from 42 games for the Parisian outfit this season.

Breakout Star – Warren Zaïre-Emery

France have such an array of talented players to choose from that you could select a squad of players that won’t be picked come the summer that would probably go close to success in the tournament as a stand-alone side.

That should demonstrate to people how good you’ve to be to break into the French National side but one man who has a chance is PSG midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery (18). The young French player has already become a regular at club level for two seasons, he made his international debut in 2023 scoring the third in a 14-0 win against Gibraltar.

Despite his tender years, Warren is already an elite midfielder with his 91.2% Pass Completion is in the 97th Percentile and 2.63 Progressive Carries are in the 91st Percentile. He will be an exciting player to watch in the summer.
