In this post, we bring you the latest Derry All-Ireland Football odds as the Oak Leaf county attempts to win their 2nd ever All-Ireland Football crown.
Derry All-Ireland Odds
Mickey Harte’s Derry have seen their odds cut from 6/1 into 9/2 with BoyleSports for this year’s All-Ireland Football Championship after claiming a first league title in 16 years against Dublin on Sunday.
A last-gasp free from Dublin’s Con O’Callaghan saw the match go to extra time despite a dominant display from Derry in the second half. With Derry looking set to take the title in extra time, Dublin rescued a penalty shoot-out from the jaws of defeat with a late Greg McEneaney goal in a dramatic final.
The back-to-back Ulster champions showed resolve to finally claim the title on penalties against a Dublin side that finished the game with just 13 men. The victory capped off a meteoric rise from winning the Division 4 final in 2019 to winning the Division 1 final just five years later.
Derry Ulster Championship Odds
Derry are now 11/10 favourites to continue their fine form and record a hat-trick of Ulster Championship victories in as many years and are third favourites at 9/2 to add to their only All-Ireland title, having lifted the Sam Maguire in 1993.
Having reached the semi-finals in 2022 and 2023, Derry have been heavily supported ahead of Mickey Harte’s first All-Ireland campaign in charge, but Dublin remain red-hot favourites at odds of 11/8 to claim a 32nd title and an eighth in just ten years, while last year’s beaten finalists Kerry are rated as an 11/4 chance.
Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said:
“It was a dramatic conclusion to the league season at Croke Park with Derry just getting over the line and punters are banking on Mickey Harte’s men to continue their fine run of form all the way to the All-Ireland final.”
