Aidan O’Brien’s Yucatan now heads the betting for the Racing Post Trophy after we were inundated with bets from eager punters who snapped up his price from early Wednesday morning, with support continuing right through to the afternoon.
The 2-year-old, who finished second to Capri in the Juddmonte Beresford Stakes last time out, was on offer at 9/2 on Wednesday morning but after some hefty bets, was cut into 5/2.
Capri, who was the 4/5 favourite, has been eased right out to 11/4 as a result of the strong support for stable companion Yucatan. Next in the betting is Rivet at 7/1 and both Sir Dancealot and Slaouen 10/1 shots.
