Night 2

Cody Rhodes (c) @ 2/1 vs. John Cena @ 4/11

Night 2 of WrestleMania is a clash of two titans, the result of which will echo through WWE history, the American Nightmare Cody Rhodes squares off against the legendary 16-time World Champion John Cena.

One year after finishing his story, winning the WWE title and ushering in a new era of WWE, Cody Rhodes now has to defend the company's top prize against John Cena who in his final year stunned the wrestling world by selling his soul to The Rock at Elimination Chamber and turning heel.

“The Last Time Is Now” and Cena on his final WrestleMania appearance has the opportunity to entrench himself further into wrestling folklore by surpassing Ric Flair for world title reigns. To achieve that he will have to overcome arguably the most consistent big-match performer in all of wrestling right now.

The biggest fan favourite of the last two decades has gone through a fundamental character shift in his last run in the WWE by turning to the “dark side” It would be very difficult to justify such a change in direction and not give John Cena the victory, so expect him to do so likely with a screwy finish where The Rock gets involved and Cena ends up standing tall as WrestleMania goes off the air.

Best Bet: John Cena (c) 4/11

John Cena to win - 4/11

Iyo Sky (c) @ 13/8  vs. Bianca Belair @5/6  vs. Rhea Ripley @ 3/1

Women’s Wrestling has taken centre stage in WWE this last decade following the “Women’s Revolution” accelerated through the work, effort and talent of new stars including “The Queen” Charlotte Flair, The Irish Lass Kicker” Becky Lynch, “The Boss” Sasha Banks and “The Hugger” Bayley.

While “The Four Horsewomen” have all trotted varying paths in recent years, they set the tone for matches like this and at WrestleMania 41 we will see the latest generation of world-class female talent.

Iyo Sky is the current Women's World Champion known for her high-flying entertaining style which constantly captivates audiences, Bianca Belair is one of the most athletic and strongest athletes you’re likely to find and Rhea Ripley has a throwback aura and edge about her which has made her one of the companies biggest stars these last 12 months.

This could be a show stealer with the in-ring chemistry all three have and there is a case to be made for all three to win. Rhea Ripley has had a strong year though and likely doesn’t need the rub this time, Iyo has been “underestimated” in the build-up by both, but I think Belair will be booked to win through the means of a heel turn extending her singles/tag record at the event to 5-0.

Best Bet: Bianca Belair - 5/6

Bianca Belair to win - 5/6

Damian Priest @ 15/8 vs Drew McIntyre @ 4/11

This rivalry has been 1 year in the making, at WrestleMania 40 Drew McIntyre’s long-awaited World Heavyweight Championship victory at the “Grandest Stage of Them All” was spoiled when Damian Priest profited from CM Punk’s attack on Drew cashing in his Money in the Bank and snatching the belt away from him on the biggest night of his career.

Priest has continued to be a thorn in his side preventing him from reclaiming gold at the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber earlier this year. After brawling for weeks it seems fitting this feud is to end with a “Sin City Street Fight.”

Though both are talented performers, Mclntyre seems to be the most likely to get the win here which should springboard him back into the Main Event scene post-WrestleMania.

Best Bet: Drew McIntyre - 4/11

Drew Mclntyre to win - 4/11

Bron Breakker (c) @ 7/2 vs. Penta @ 7/4 vs. Finn Bálor @ 8/1  vs. Dominik Mysterio @ 4/9

Multi-man matches are a regular fixture on the WrestleMania calendar where it provides the entertainment factor of chaotic, high-stakes fights which the fans enjoy along with the human factor of giving a platform for as many Superstars as possible on the “Grandest Stage of Them All”

Breakker has been a dominant Intercontinental Champion and come Saturday will have held the belt for 181 days, though his stock is high now his trajectory is only going upward and a loss of his title at the weekend will likely only mean bigger things are on the horizon.

Legendary Luchador Penta has entertained the masses since debuting in the company at the start of the year and is someone who will likely see gold sooner rather than later, but it may not be at the weekend.

Bray Native Finn Balor has had a double decade-plus long wrestling career and though he’s had achievements of his own right in WWE, he’s very selfless in how he acts and is likely to be the one to take the pin on Sunday to the next person on the list in an “ally break-up” moment though I do think odds of 8/1 underestimate his chances.

The most likely victor though is “Dirty Dom” Dominik Mysterio, the son of the legendary Rey is carving a career by his own talent, and it feels right now that he will win his first singles title on the Main Roster and maybe then another feud with his father.

Best Bet: Dominik Mysterio - 4/9

Dominik Mysterio to win - 4/9

AJ Styles @ 7/4 vs Logan Paul @ 2/5

One of the quieter WrestleMania builds, but AJ Styles vs Logan Paul is another which could give us some showstopping entertainment at the weekend.

Styles' wrestling legacy speaks for itself and he returns to the WrestleMania stage for the ninth time and his eighth in singles competition last year he lost to LA Knight via pinfall. Paul comes from a very different background a celebrity turned Superstar and though he’s not everyone’s cup of tea, his dedication and talent in the business simply can’t be questioned.

Logan Paul is the heavy favourite for this one, but I fancy AJ Styles to earn the win this time around due in part to the large amount of “bad guy” victories likely to take place on Saturday Night.

Best Bet: AJ Styles -7/4

AJ Styles to win - 7/4

Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez (c) @ TBC  vs. Bayley and Lyra Valkyria @ TBC

Liv and Raquel won the tag titles last February which was well deserved in a sense because the talented duo have genuine chemistry and come across as a real team and not two individual wrestlers which can often be the case in WWE.

Speaking of unlikely duos that’s what their opponents are Dubliner Lyra Valkyria is the latest rising star in the company and is the inaugural WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, she is partnered with selfless and ever-talented Bayley who only recently challenged her for the belt.

It makes no sense in my opinion for the challengers to win here so I’m backing the champions to retain with the strong chance of Bayley turning on Lyra.

Best Bet: Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez (c) -
