Night 1

Roman Reigns @ 3/1 vs. CM Punk (with Paul Heyman) @ 11/10 vs. Seth Rollins @ 5/4

Night 1 of WrestleMania will be headlined by 3 future WWE Hall of Famers.

Roman Reigns is a WWE Grand Slam Champion, a record WrestleMania Main Eventer (10) someone who held the Universal Championship with staggering dominance for 1,316 days.

CM Punk is a wrestling icon who rose to fame in WWE with his anti-hero persona, mic skills, and in-ring prowess. Despite walking out of the company in 2014 and stating he would never come back; he returned in November 2023 with a lesson to fans to Never say never in wrestling.

Seth Rollins has been a stalwart on the Main Roster since debuting with The Shield (Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose) in 2012. Though he has 13 titles to his name with WWE, A Grand Slam Champion and former Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank winner he’s still arguably underappreciated.

All three men have history, Rollins and Punks have been at each other’s throats since 2023, Rollins and Reigns' colourful Shield past is one of the iconic stories of the last decade for WWE and at the centre-piece of this fight is the blurred lines and divided loyalties of a current WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman who is poised to be central to the drama on Saturday Night.

Punk agreed to partner with Reigns to defeat The Bloodline at War Games in return for a favour as that transpires it was that he would accompany him for his long-awaited WrestleMania Main Event.

Reigns has had plenty of days in the sun and makes the least sense for the win, CM Punk could finish his own story with a win and though Rollins has blurred the lines of loyalty with Heyman recently I think this is Punk’s time to achieve immortality.

Best Bet: CM Punk - 11/10

CM Punk to win - 11/10

Gunther (c) @ 7/2  v Jey Uso @ 1/6

“The Ring General” Gunther is legitimately a scary specimen standing at 6 foot 4 and 250lbs, that combined with his brutal chops, technical mastery and general stoic menace means in his relatively short Main Roster career his IC Championship reign of 666 days was the longest of all-time and he’s currently held the Heavyweight Championship for 259 days come Saturday Night.

“Main Event” Jey Uso’s rise up the card is a different story, debuting with the company in May 2010 alongside his twin Jimmy as part of the “Usos”. While both twins through their work in the Bloodline storyline distinguished themselves from one another one twin's character development has surpassed his brothers and that’s Jey.

Though “scripted”, the company proved they could still suspend belief and outsmart their “in the know” fans when Jey Uso was booked to win the Royal Rumble at the beginning of the year when he eliminated a certain man called John Cena, Some critiqued the move putting down the move just to Jey’s popular “catchphrase” YEET and entrance but he’s organically loved for that and more and that’s a testament to his talent.

The Build-Up has intensified in recent weeks with Gunther’s bloody beatdown of his brother Jimmy, but there’s only one way this story should go and that; 's with a Jey victory, YEET.

Best Bet: Jey Uso - 1/6

Jey Uso to win - 1/6

Tiffany Stratton (c) @ EVS  vs. Charlotte Flair @ 8/11

Tiffany Stratton has been highly thought of for some time and following a 3-year stint in NXT, she quickly found herself on the Main Roster in February of last year. Despite being only 25 she quickly assumed herself at the top of the card winning Money in the Bank last July and finally cashing in her title to become Women’s Champion at the start of this year.

On the other hand, we’ve Charlotte Flair who from her time at NXT (2012-2015) and on the Main Roster for the last decade has firmly sat on top of the table with 17 championship reigns including 15 Women’s Championship reigns she is a Grand Slam Champion and two-time Royal Rumble winner (2020 and 2025). While she’s received backlash from plenty due to the way she has been booked and the perception that she is unwilling to “put over” new stars.

This feud has been enhanced substantially by the alleged real-life drama and the off-script promos but if they can work together, this has the potential to be a show steeler. Stratton is a star, but Flair rarely loses, and I can see the former winning this with maybe Stratton to win back the title at SummerSlam.

Best Bet: Charlotte Flair - 8/11

Charlotte Flair to win - 8/11

LA Knight (c) @ 6/4 vs. Jacob Fatu @ 1/2

LA Knight like Jey Uso is another who demonstrates that with the right graft, determination and ability one can organically become one of the most over-stars in the company and last year at the “Show of Shows” he defeated wrestling legend AJ Styles via pinfall. This is his second spell as US Champion after defeating Nakamura for it last month.

Jacob Fatu is another from the famous Anoaʻi family, is the son of former WWE star Sam Fatu and the nephew of both Rikishi and Umaga. Like so many in his family, he clearly has the character, aura and ability to become the next Main Eventer in the family.

Since the Triple H era began you always get the impression that new stars will always be established, and Jacob Fatu seems to be one of many on that journey and a US Championship victory here makes sense.

Best Bet: Jacob Fatu - 1/2

Jacob Fatu to win - 1/2

The War Raiders (Erik and Ivar) (c) @ 2/1 vs. The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) @ 1/3

Ahead of WrestleMania weekend, the build-up to the Tag Team Championship match has suffered from lack of time and care.

The War Raiders are an example of a legitimate Tag Team something not common these days and have garnered success with their throwback, intense and hard-hitting style and have been Champions since their victory over The Judgement Day last December.

The New Day have been ever-present together for over a decade now since they along with “Big E” in July 2014. The key to their longevity has been their ability to adapt and though their heel turn by betraying Big E as of yet they’ve failed yet have been given the time to make their turn to the dark side worthwhile.

That being said, The New Day have more of an upside and need a reason to justify their behaviour change so I can see them winning this one.

Best Bet: The New Day - 1/3

The New Day to win- 1/3

Jade Cargill @ 1/4  vs. Naomi @ 11/4

Jade and Naomi were both partners at WrestleMania 40 alongside Bianca Belair where they defeated Damage CTRL, but a lot has changed these last 12 months.

Naomi’s sneak attack on Cargill simultaneously put her out of action as well as costing her the WWE Tag title. The return of Cargill and her desire to right being wronged has led to a traditional bad-blood feud and the first non-title singles match at WrestleMania since 2006.

Naomi has been excellent since she turned heel, but Cargill looks destined for the next step in her “development” and that’s a single title win which will come after WrestleMania. The perfect way to give her momentum is a win here.

Best Bet: Jade Cargill - 1/4

Jade Cargill to win - 1/4

Rey Mysterio @ 8/11  v El Grande Americano @ EVS

Rey Mysterio maybe 50 and wrestling 30+ years since he debuted on the independent seen at 14 back in 1989 he has long established himself as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time but still doesn’t miss a step in the ring! He can’t have long left though, and fans should enjoy this legend while they can.

El Grande Americano (definitely not Chad Gable) has risen to prominence for his gimmick in recent weeks where he has tried to disrespect Lucha Libre and though the build has been light in parts it has had its enjoyable moments!

This could go both ways, but I believe Rey deserves a victory at WrestleMania and the reveal of 2012 Olympian Chad Gable could be on the cards in a humorous climax to the long-running feud between the LWO and American Made.

Best Bet: Rey Mysterio - 8/11

Rey Mysterio to win - 8/11
