World Cup of Darts 2025 Darts Betting Favourites

England

Odds

The favourite to win the World Cup of Darts 2025 Darts is England with odds of 2/5 suggesting a 71.4% chance of the superstar pairing of Luke Littler and Luke Humphries doing the business.

World Cup of Darts Pedigree

Luke Littler and Luke Humphries are the form players on the darting tour at the moment winning 4/4 of the major events so far this season between them with 2 titles to each of their names with the former winning The World Championship and UK Open and the latter winning the World Masters and Premier League.

‘Cool Hand Luke’ made a successful debut at the World Cup of Darts last year when winning with Michael Smith. Their pathway to success was an 8-3 win over France, 8-4 over Northern Ireland, and 8-4 against Scotland before beating Austria 10-6

This will be Luke Littler's debut at the event.

Verdict

Impossible for a pairing which is so dominant on their own not to be the favourite for the event, they will be thereabouts and likely winners but at odds of 2/5, I think they’re priced a little too short for the regular punter.

England to win - 2/5

Wales

Odds

Next up in the betting is the pairing of Jonny Clayton at Gerwyn Price with odds of 11/2 suggesting a 15.4% chance of Wales winning their third World Cup of Darts title.

World Cup of Darts Pedigree

Both Clayton and Price are having solid seasons in major competitions. Clayton was a finalist at the World Masters and a semi-finalist at the UK Open while Price made it the quarter-final of the World Championship and semi-final of the Premier League.

The pairing of the two Welshmen is the third most prolific in the competition history from their 6 appearances they’ve won twice (2020 and 2023) and finished as runner-up to Australia’s pairing of Damon Heta and Simon Whitlock in 2022.

At last year’s event, they were shocked in their first game losing in the second round 6-8 against Croatia.

Verdict

Both players work well in tandem, something we don’t know yet about England and I think at odds of 11/2 they’re an exceptionally priced bet.

Wales to win - 11/2

Scotland

Odds

The third favourite for the World Cup of Darts 2025 Darts is Scotland’s pairing of Gary Anderson and Peter Wright who together are three-time finalists coming in 2015, 2018 and 2019.

World Cup of Darts Pedigree

The Scotsmen have headed into this tournament in better form than they will this time around. Gary Anderson’s 2025 season has consisted of entirely early-round exits and Peter Wright is much the same though he did reach the quarter-final of the World Championship at the beginning of the year.

Both players enjoy this event though finishing as runners-up with this exact pairing in 2015 to England and to the Netherlands in 2018. They would finally land the trophy for their country in 2019 when they beat Ireland 3-1 in the final.

Peter Wright would win this event in 2021 as well this time with John Henderson beating Austria 3-1. The OG pairing of Wright and Anderson were again beaten finalists 10-2 in 2023 through last year after an 8-2 win over Poland and 8-7 success against Sweden they were beaten by eventual winners England 8-4 in the semi-final.

Verdict

Scotland and this pairing in particular have shown they can be successful in this competition, but I don’t think at odds of 12/1 they represent value given the relatively poor form from both.

Scotland to win - 12/1

Others

Elsewhere the Netherlands can be gotten at 14/1 with the pairing of Danny Noppert and Gian van Veen, but the withdrawal of Michael van Gerwen from the event will be a considerable challenge to overcome.

Mike De Decker and Dimitri Van den Bergh are priced at 20/1 for Belgium alongside the interesting pair of Josh Rock and Daryl Gurney who will have a bye to the second round. If you’re looking for Ireland’s price William O’Connor and Keane Barry can be gotten at 80/1.

Northern Ireland to win - 20/1
