The UEFA Women's Euro 2025 Championship is underway, with the top European sides set to battle out for another major tournament.
England won the event in 2022 following a 2-1 AET win over Germany after goals from Toone and Kelly.

Women’s Euros 2025 Betting Favourites
Spain
The favourite currently at odds of 13/8 is Spain, who have never won the event but are no stranger to major success, given they won the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Spain have been managed by Montse Tomé following the departure of Jorge Vilda following their World Cup victory. Tomé had worked as an assistant coach during Vilda’s tenure.
They qualified for this tournament after topping qualifying Group A2 with a record of 15 points from their 6 games against Denmark, Belgium and the Czech Republic, scoring 18 goals and conceding only 5 across 2023/2024.
When looking at the Spanish squad, one take stands above the rest, and that is that continuity and cohesion are key. Of their 23-woman squad, a staggering 11 play for Barcelona, 4 for Real Madrid. Names to keep an eye out for is defender Ona Batile, who is world-class, and Salma Paralluelo, who has 14 goals in 35 caps.

Spain Portugal Belgium Italy
Spain have been drawn in a relatively tough group, and though their quality goes without saying, at odds of 13/8 I’d be considering options elsewhere in the market.

England
England are the second favourites for this tournament with odds of 4/1 of them retaining their 2022 Euro Championship title.
England have been managed by Sarina Wiegman since 2021, with the highlight of her tenure being their victory in this competition in 2022, and they were runners-up at the 2023 World Cup. Her record as manager is 45 wins, 11 draws, and 8 defeats from 64 games.
They qualified for this tournament after finishing second in qualifying Group A3 behind France but crucially ahead of Sweden and the Republic of Ireland, finishing with 11 points, 8 scored and 5 conceded from their 6 games.
There is a nice blend of youth and experience in this English squad, perfect for any international tournament. In defence, Bronze (33), Greenwood (31) and Captain Williamson (28) bring a wealth of experience, but in attacking areas, you also have the breakthrough of the likes of Clinton (22), Park (23) and Hemp (24) among others.

The defending champions can’t be dismissed, even if going back-to-back titles will be difficult, I can see some appeal at odds of 4/1.

Germany
Third in the betting is Germany, who will be looking to extend their Euro Championship record to nine titles.
Germany are managed by Christian Wück, who took the reins in 2024 following a 19-year coaching career, almost entirely managing the men’s underage sides from U15 to U17 level at varying times.
They qualified for the tournament by topping qualifying group A4 with a record of 15 points. 17 goals scored and 1 defeat from their games against Iceland, Austria and Poland, and come into the competition unbeaten in 2025 with 5 wins and 1 draw.
This is an experienced German squad with 8 of their 23 having 45+ caps and a further 15/23 having 20+ Senior International appearances. The names to watch going forward will be the Bayern pairing of Lea Schüller, who has 52 goals in 75 caps and Klara Bühl, who has 28 goals in 67 caps.

The serial winners look to be well drawn, but with odds of 9/2, I’d be looking elsewhere.

France
The French are priced at 5/1 to win their first Euro Championship this summer..
Laurent Bonadei started his coaching career with PSG U19s, Nice II and Saudi Arabia as a caretaker before taking the France job in 2024. While his tenure began in stop-start fashion in 2024, they’ve come alive this year, winning seven of seven games.
France qualified for the tournament by topping qualifying group A3 with a record of 12 points, 8 goals scored and 7 conceded to finish ahead of England, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland.
Of the 23-woman squad, 15 of them play their football domestically in France and even more remarkably, of the 15, they all play for Lyon, Paris or Paris FC. Their talent elsewhere is still notable, though, with Delphine Cascarino (28), who plays with San Diego Waves, and keeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin (33), who has 66 caps playing with Juventus.

France have been in good form this year, but I don’t think they’ve played strong enough quality opposition in those games to justify odds of 5/1.

Sweden
Rounding off the market leaders is Sweden, which will be looking to repeat its 1984 success.
Sweden are managed by Peter Gerhardsson, who has been managing them since 2017, with the highlights being when they finished third place in the Women’s World Cup in both 2019 and 2023.
While they initially failed to qualify for the tournament after finishing third in their qualifying group behind France and Sweden and ahead of the Republic of Ireland, they fell into the playoffs. They then comfortably beat Luxembourg 12-0 on aggregate and Serbia 8-0 on aggregate to reach the tournament.
Sweden have arguably the most experienced squad in the tournament with Asllani (35), who has 199 caps, Jakobsson (35) with 165 capts, Sembrant (38) with 156 caps Eriksson (31) with 121 caps, Blackstenius (29) 117 caps, Andersson (32) 108 caps and Rolfo (31) 98 caps all members of their squad, among others.

They have considerable experience and some great players, but I don’t think they’ve enough about them to win the Euros this time around.
