England have been managed by Sarina Wiegman since 2021, with the highlight of her tenure being their victory in this competition in 2022. More recently, she guided them to a runners-up finish at the 2023 World Cup.
While they came into the tournament as the pre-market second favourites behind Spain, they disappointed in their opening group game, losing 2-1 to France. Though they held 58% of possession, an 87th-minute goal from Walsh proved to be only a consolation goal. They kicked into gear then though following hammerings of Netherlands 4-0 and Wales 6-1, they safely booked their ticket into the knockout stages.
In their quarter-final tie against Sweden, the Lionesses staged a dramatic comeback from 2-0 down against Sweden with Lucy Bronze and Michelle Agyemang scoring late to force extra time. The match went to a dramatic penalty shootout, where Hannah Hampton's saves and Bronze's decisive kick secured a 3-2 victory, advancing England to the semi-finals.
Italy have been under the tutelage of Andrea Soncin since 2023, following a 22-year playing career and a couple of spells as Venezia Caretaker Manager and In his opening 23 games, he’s brought them 11 wins.
The Italians opened Euro 2025 with a 0-1 win over Belgium courtesy of a Caruso goal before the end of the first half. That was followed by what proved to be a crucial 1-1 draw against Portugal, though it could’ve been better had it not been for a late leveller from Gomes for Portugal in the 89th minute. They concluded their group game timetable with a 1-3 defeat to Spain, being outclassed even if they temporarily took the lead in the 10th minute.
Italy secured a 2-1 victory over Norway in the Women's Euro 2025 quarter-final, with Cristiana Girelli scoring both goals, including a dramatic 90th-minute header. Norway's Ada Hegerberg equalised after missing a penalty, but Italy's late surge, led by Girelli and Sofia Cantore, clinched their first semi-final spot since 1997.
Prediction: England 2-0 Italy
England are favourites and with good reason. I think Italy have done exceptionally well to reach this stage, but they will be up against it in this fixture.
Best Bet: England -1 – 8/5

Christian Wück has managed this Germany side since 2024, following over 20 years of experience in the men’s game, including working with the men’s underage International sides and game into this tournament as one of the pre-market fancies for glory.
Germany opened their tournament with two consecutive victories: 2-0 against Poland and 2-1 against Denmark, which secured their passage into the knockout stages. However, they were then undone in a convincing display by Sweden in their final group game. Though they took the lead in the 8th minute, they eventually lost out 4-1.
In their quarter-final, they overcame a challenging tussle with France surviving an early setback with Kathrin Hendrich’s red card and Grace Geyoro’s penalty. Sjoeke Nüsken’s brave header levelled the score, and Ann-Katrin Berger’s clutch performance in the penalty shootout clinched a thrilling 6- 5 win, propelling Germany to the semi-finals against Spain.
Spain headed into this tournament as the reigning World Cup Champions, though there has been a change in their management since that triumph, with Montse Tomé coming in following the departure of Jorge Vilda. Tomé had worked as an assistant coach during Vilda’s tenure.
This Spanish side has been convincing throughout the tournament and opened their group stage with a comprehensive 5-0 victory against Portugal. That was followed by a 6-2 win over Belgium, which confirmed their passage into the knockout stages, though they still ended the group with a 100% record after a 1-3 win over Italy.
In their quarter-final, Spain overcame a resilient Switzerland in the Women's Euro 2025 quarter-final, securing a 2-0 victory in Bern. Despite missing two penalties, second-half goals from Athenea del Castillo and Clàudia Pina’s stunning strike clinched Spain’s first Euros semi-final spot since 1997.
Prediction: Germany 0-3 Spain
Germany are capable of defeating anyone on their day, but I think Spain are levels above and should win comfortably.
Best Bet: Spain -1 – 5/4
