Wolves Form Guide

Wolves have been managed by Portuguese Coach Vítor Pereira since he replaced Gary O’Neil last December. Though they finished 16th, there were positive signs following wins over Leicester and Man United, along with a draw with Tottenham in his first two weeks. A strong March to April period, where they had 6 wins and 1 draw, was enough to secure safety.

It was a summer of change at Molineux Stadium, where notably the key departures of Matheus Cunha to Man United and Rayan Aït-Nouri to Man City brought in £93 million. The expiration of Pablo Sarbias, Nelson Semedo and Craig Dawson’s contracts were also considerable. Despite making close to £100 million on broader transfer fees, they elected for a thrifty strategy with £63 million spent on Fer Lopez, Jorgen Strand Larsen, and John Arias. David Møller Wolfe and Jackson Tchatchoua are all first-team signings.

Signs from Pre-Season were that Wolves were in for a transitional period in 25/26 after 4 defeats and 2 draws. They were then battered 0-4 by Man City on opening day, though they were far more competitive in their latest 1-0 loss to Bournemouth.

West Ham Form Guide

The Hammers had a generally positive pre-season under Graham Potter with 3 wins,1 defeat and a 1-1 draw with Lille, which ended in a 5-4 penalty victory to land the inaugural BOYLE Sports Cup. The signs were with new additions like Diouf, Walker-Peters and Wilson, among others, that they had a platform to build on in the 25/26 season.

Despite the initial promise, West Ham have had a difficult start to their season, opening it with a 3-0 defeat to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. However, they were a little unfortunate with the XG scoreline 0.72 to 0.56. At the weekend, they fell to a 1-5 defeat to Chelsea, but despite taking the lead. In that game, they equalled Chelsea’s tally of 7 shots, which showed some positive signs.

Cup Competitions have generally been fond of the club in recent seasons, with their Europa Conference League win in 22/23 still living in the memory, along with more recent strong performances in the Europa League and EFL Cup. Their start to the season has been less than ideal, but there remains plenty of quality in this West Ham side.

Wolves v West Ham Betting Tips

Prediction: Wolves 0-2 West Ham

Wolves had a less-than-ideal start to their season, but they will fancy their chances given they’re at home.

West Ham have also had a difficult start to their season, but have won 3 of their last 5 games against Wolves.

This is the perfect game for either team to bounce back, and I think West Ham have a stronger squad and look good value for the win.
