BoyleSports are offering customers the chance to win a share of £100,000 if a nine-darter is hit in the BoyleSports World Grand Prix final.
The unique double-start event runs from October 3rd-9th at Leicester’s Morningside Arena and new customers who sign up with BoyleSports HERE and place a £10 bet could win a slice of £100,000 cash.
WAIT, WHAT IS A NINE-DARTER? WE EXPLAIN HERE
The first nine-darter in World Grand Prix history was hit by Ireland’s Brendan Dolan in the 2011 semi-final against James Wade.
In the 2014 event, James Wade and Robert Thornton both hit perfect legs in the same match, the first and only time that two players have hit a nine-darter in a televised match.
On all three occasions, the leg started with a score of 160 (starting on double 20), followed by a 180, and finishing with 161 - treble 20, treble 17 and bullseye.
If either player hits a perfect leg in the BoyleSports World Grand Prix final on Sunday 9th October, the £100,000 jackpot will be divided equally amongst all qualifying customers.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “The BoyleSports World Grand Prix has even seen two nine-darters hit in the same match, but it’ll only take one in the final this year to trigger a £100,000 giveaway.
"The way perfect legs are being hit on the darts circuit lately suggests another one isn’t far away - Gerwyn Price in particular is flying with four televised nine-dart finishes this year already!”
“Dave Chisnall also hit a nine-darter earlier en route to winning the Belgian Open this month, so the omens are good and we wish all our newly registered customers good luck in seeing one in the BoyleSports World Grand Prix final so they can enjoy their share of the £100,000 jackpot.”
