Wimbledon Favourites – Women’s Singles

Aryna Sabelenka – 13/5

World Number (1) Aryna Sabalenka (27) is the favourite at odds of 13/5 ahead of Wimbledon to claim her first ever victory in the event.

The Belarusian has been playing on the pro tour since 2015 and has become a serial winner this last decade, winning 20 titles, an average of 2 per season. The highlights of her career to date include her Grand Slam successes at the Australian Open in 2023 and 2024, as well as the US Open in 2024.

Aryna has been imperious on the 2025 tennis tour with a current season record of 42-8 (84%), which has led her to 3 calendar titles so far, the Brisbane International, Miami Open and the Madrid Open. Though she lost both her Grand Slam finals 3–6, 6–2, 5–7 to Madison Keys in the Australian Open and 7–6(7–5), 2–6, 4–6 in the French Tennis Open.

In the first round, she beat Canadian Carson Branstine in straight sets 6-1, 7-5.

Sabelenka is yet to land a Grand Slam in 2025, but after hitting the crossbar twice, Wimbledon may be the time her luck turns.

Aryna Sabelenka to win - 13/5

Elena Rybakina - 11/2

The second favourite is World Number (11) and  Kazakhstan athlete Elena Rybakina (26), who has previously won at Wimbledon in 2022 when defeating Ons Jabeur 3–6, 6–2, 6–2.

Elena has also been playing professionally since 2014, when she was just 15 years old. Her breakout year on the tour came 5 years later in 2019 when she won her first title on the ITF Tour and climbed into the Top-50 of the WTA Rankings. She has now firmly established herself on the tour, winning 9 career titles, including the 2022 Wimbledon Championship.

2025 has been a poor season when considering the exceptional standards she set herself on the Tennis Tour last year, regularly making the business stage of events. This season, it has largely consisted of early exits aside from a quarter-final appearance at the Qatar Open and a semi-final in the Dubai Championships.

In the first round, she’s been drawn against Armenian Elina Avanesyan

Elena enjoys the Wimbledon stage regularly, making the latter stages of the event in these last 3 years, but at odds of 11/2, I’d be looking elsewhere in the betting market.

Elena Rybakina to win - 11/2

Coco Gauff - 8/1

World Number (2) Coco Gauff is the next in the betting at odds of 8/1 to win her third Grand Slam title.

Coco turned Pro in 2018 and played on the ITF Tour until she debuted on the WTA Tour in March 2019 at the Miami Open at the age of 15. She received a wildcard into the qualifying draw for the 2019 Wimbledon Championships, where she became the youngest player in the tournament's history to qualify for the main draw. There, she defeated Venus Williams and reached the fourth round.

It wasn’t long before she was winning on the WTA, winning the first of her 10 titles to date at the 2019 Linz Open. She has since won 2 Grand Slam titles, coming in the 2023 US Open and the 2025 French Tennis Open. In 2025, she has a season record of 31-9 (78%) with the highlight being her success at the aforementioned French Tennis Open.

Her first challenge will be in the first round, where she will face Ukrainian Dayana Yastremska.

Coco has never been beyond the fourth round in this event, but following her French Tennis Open success earlier this year, I think she represents a great value bet at odds of 8/1.

Coco Gauff to win - 8/1

Iga Swiatek – 10/1

The fourth favourite for success at Wimbledon is leading Polish player Iga Swiatek, with odds of 10/1 of claiming his sixth Grand Slam success.

Iga (24) turned Pro in 2016 and has already won a staggering 22 Career Titles, including Grand Slam successes at the French Tennis Open in 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024 and the US Open in 2022. 2025 has been a relatively poor season for her, though with a season record of 35-11 (76%), though she was a beaten Homburg Open finalist earlier this month.

Her first round game is against Russian Polina Kudermetova.

Though she’s had a questionable year, her career record is phenomenal and recent signs suggest odds of 10/1 represents great value.

Iga Swiatek to win - 10/1

Marketa Vondrousova - 11/1

The fifth favourite for Wimbledon is Czech tennis star Marketa Vondrousova (26), who will also be looking to win her second Wimbledon title.

The former World Number (6) has seen a considerable fall in stature now ranked 73rd in the world.  However, she’s still a 3 time Calendar title winner, including her 2023 Wimbledon title. If she can overcome injury issues and rediscover her form, she could still be a major player.

She won her first round game in straight sets 6-1, 7-6 against McCartney Kessler, but has a tough second round tie against British player Emma Raducanu.

An excellent player on her day,  I still think odds of 11/1 are far too short.
