In each video, DIDE wears a black and silver face mask as he raps about his lavish lifestyle, football finesse and his political positions along with a multitude of other topics addressed in his music.
DIDE appears to rap in a Southern accent which has many speculating that the footballer is from London, but for now all that’s just speculation with DIDE keeping details about his “team” and “position” vague.
The footballer makes an apparent reference to his career "Lately my heads been all over the place. A lot of times it could have gone left, and I could have got benched cause the play weren't great." and "and I'm fast on the clock, man's speedy, one-two and I'm gone like Ney”. The reference to his “speed” could mean he is a winger? But even that is a reach at this stage…
The alternate argument remains that it could be just an incredibly designed marketing ploy with him amassing over 52K YouTube subscribers and 79.5K Instagram followers in rapid time. If it does turn out to be a Premier League Footballer, he won’t be the first to make that pivot with the likes of older stars like John Barnes and Andy Cole doing similar feats.
More recent stars like Clint Dempsey, Yannick Bolasie, Ryan Babel and Memphis Depay. The latter regularly releasing freestyles with one of his biggest songs 'No Love' racking up 19 million views. on YouTube.
The question remains who is DIDE?

The reason he is being called DIDE? The winger's diamond tattoo style and hairstyle seem to match now Cardiff winger Ojo! The reference to his playing time could also be true as even though he’s played 34 games this season scoring 1 goal his 1797 minutes only equates to 20 full 90s which shows he’s spending a lot of the time on the bench also!
On the other hand, he references that “his team stay winning” while playing for Cardiff currently 20th in the Championship. Furthermore, he has only played Premier League Football 8 times back in 2016 for Liverpool for a total of 360 minutes achieving 3 assists.
Some of DIDE’s claims seem to be very kind about himself, but it wouldn’t be like a professional footballer to be humble anyway.
Another key aspect to him potentially being the rapper is back in September 2022 when he unveiled his music studio – Studio 17 (named after his shirt number) in his home. Away from feints and nutmegs and stepovers, his love of dropping bars makes him a very likely candidate.
Although his team keeps winning claim seems a reach with them currently 19th in the EPL.

"New thrill kickin'
Back line sippin'
Switch sides swiftly, then I'm onside chippin'
Catch me online 'cause my team stay winning"
Furthermore, many have hypothesised “DIDE” is some sort of short-hand anagram for “Eddie”.

In the song, it is also referenced about doing work in the community which Reiss has been known to do in the area he grew up. It also says he is 23 with that being the number Nelson wears for Arsenal,
