Form Guide

West Ham Form Guide

It was the third time the charm for The Hammers before the International Break when they ran out comfortable 0-3 winners over Nottingham Forest after a late flurry with Bowen, Paqueta and Wilson all scoring from the 84th to the 91st minute. It was no more than they deserved, with Forest only accumulating an XG of 0.72 from 11 shots to their 12 shots and XG of 2.24.

Following the conclusion of the Transfer Window on the 1st of September it’s fair to say there’s been plenty of change at London Stadium these last few months including U21 movements there’s been 17 additions to the team and 18 departures, But the signs have been positive so far with Diouf looking strong at LB, Wilson looking clinical and Fernandes adding steel and work-rate in the middle of the park.

West Ham have performed well in recent home ties against Tottenham, going unbeaten in their last 5 games, and though they’re “underdogs” in name, they’ve more than enough to get something positive provided they play to their strengths, playing with freedom, flair and confidence.

Tottenham’s Form Guide

It’s been a time of change these last few months at Tottenham; a Europa League victory was not enough to save the job of Ange Postecoglou. During the summer, he was played by former Brentford boss Thomas Frank, and he was subsequently supplemented with 8 first-team signings. That wasn’t the end of the change, though, with the departure of long-term CEO Daniel Levy this week.

It’s hard to gauge where Tottenham lie this season following their inconsistent 24/25 league campaign. They opened their league campaign with a 3-0 win over Burnley and an impressive 0-2 victory over Man City. The signs that there is work to be done remains as shown by their 0-1 defeat to Bournemouth last time out, where they failed to create any meaningful chances.

There’ll be plenty of selection calls for Thomas Frank come Saturday, with the most interesting two names to note being whether former West Ham man Kudos gets the start against his former club and if new signing Simons will also be unleashed for his first appearance.

Key Players To Watch

Key Players To Watch

Lucas Paqueta- West Ham

The Brazilian magician has started the 25/26 season exceptionally with 3 Goals from his first 4 Matches in all competitions.  With him potentially coming up against Spence playing on his non-favoured side, their head-to-head battle could be key in shaping the result.

Xavi Simons - Tottenham

Spurs' latest big-money summer signing, Dutchman Xavi Simons, for close to £52 million, comes with a big reputation from his time with RB Leipzig last season, where he scored 11 times and assisted 8 from 33 games. Following reports he’s already impressed in training, he will be their dangerman to watch out for come Saturday.

West Ham v Tottenham Prediction & Best Bet

West Ham v Tottenham Prediction & Best Bet

Prediction: West Ham 2-0 Tottenham

The Hammers were resolute and clinical last time out to earn a confidence-boosting win over last season’s high flyers, Nottingham Forest.

Tottenham were ineffective at creating chances against Bournemouth last time out and will be asking the likes of Simons to step up on Saturday.

West Ham are unbeaten in their last 5 home games against Tottenham, and I can see that run continuing on Saturday.
