Speaking exclusively with BoyleSports , Manchester United legend Wes Brown has spoken about the emotional impact of moves in football from goodbyes to returns.

The former England international also gave his opinions on the potential of a Rashford and Watkins swap in the transfer market as well as thoughts on the prospect of Cunha and Ancelotti working together with Brazil calling them a potential “perfect” pairing.

“Wish Trent The Best”

100%, Liverpool has done well to get £10million. We’ve known where he is going for a while, he has been great for the club and wanted to do something different but it’s good that Liverpool got something.

The fans are upset because he’s a local lad, he’s got a lot of stick but it’s part and parcel in football. The club really appreciated what he’s done, I think fans should be wishing him the best. I think they need to move on now.

It would be great if Liverpool used the £ 10 million to give something back to the fans, but I’ve never heard of a club doing that. I’m pretty sure the club will keep it.

Trent’s Stab In The Back

Trent Alexander-Arnold decided his time at the club was done and that’s football; he deserved to be given a good send-off off although some fans saw it as a stab in the back. I think getting £10 million shows it worked out well in the end.

Sunderland Return For Henderson?

Out of Rangers and Sunderland, I want to see Jordan Henderson go to Sunderland.

He is loved up there and is spoken so highly of, I think he could do a really good job in the team even if he doesn’t start every week. He has so much experience and would be a great addition to the squad. Rangers is a huge club of course, but I’d like to see him go back to Sunderland after all these years and help them stay up in the Premier League.

No United Return For Sancho

When Jadon Sancho's got the ball, he's excellent. We’ve seen him cause havoc in some games because his ball control is so good, but under Ruben Amorim, he’d have to show more.

I can’t see him coming back from Chelsea and finding consistency, the situation is a strange one with Chelsea having an option, but he will want to be starting games wherever he is, and I can’t see that under Amorim.

Rashford And Watkins Swap?

Manchester United need a striker and Ollie Watkins has shown us that he can do that in the Premier League. Would Aston Villa swap Watkins for Marcus Rashford? I’m not sure because they still trust Watkins and would need to find a big replacement.

They would want a striker who can get 20 goals and those are hard to come by. Look at United and how Rasmus Hojlund has struggled, but a striker like Watkins would be perfect for United.

Standout Performers For Man United

I think Amad Diallo has played really well, but I think all young lads should be rotated. Standards can drop as they get tired, and you need experience to be able to stay at that level.

When young players know they are going to be starting, those standards can drop, in my day we knew what the team was going to be and the young lads had to work so hard to get into that team.

I think this season Bruno Fernandes, Noussair Mazraoui and Amad have been my standout players this season, they have shown mental strength in the big moments, and they are missed when they are not there.

Garnacho’s Social Media Issues

There are rumours around Alejandro Garnacho but when he has been fit he usually starts, he doesn’t play in every game but that’s normal. I think social media has been his downfall; it’s too tied up in football.

He’s a young player from the youth team so I want him to be a success when they are still at the age in which they can improve. I’ve seen his tweets and things but that’s a young kid being stupid, he shouldn't leave on the back of those.

Perfect Pairing? Cunha And Ancelotti

Matheus Cunha and Carlo Ancelotti could be the perfect fit for Brazil, he has that unpredictability about him, and Ancelotti has worked with some of the best players in the world that have those qualities.

He has been able to handle that wherever he's gone, he's always got the best out of his players so that bodes well for Cunha in the national team. It could also benefit his confidence when he’s playing for Manchester United, so it could be great for both club and country.

Rodrygo To Man United?

I really like Rodrygo, he will want to play in the Champions League, but it would be a dream to see him at Manchester United. Not just the nature of playing in the Champions League but the finances that brings, he will want to be among the best in the world if he is to leave Real Madrid.

Although it will be hard for Manchester United to get him, stranger things have happened in football and maybe that’s where the Bruno Fernandes money could be reinvested. It would be a dream move but it is unlikely.”

Marquinhos Legacy

Marquinhos is one of the best defenders of his generation. He goes about his game quietly but is a great leader for PSG.

He’s not the biggest but has perfected his game, he deserves the success he is getting now with winning the Champions League for the first time. He stayed by his club and got his rewards. That will also help him find success with Brazil and he will be an asset for Carlo Ancelotti.
