Christmas Comes Early For Winner In Louth
A County Louth horse racing punter is toasting a remarkable win just in time for Christmas after five horses beat the odds to trigger a five-figure windfall.
The anonymous winner struck their bets in a BOYLE Sports shop in the Wee County, placing a €0.10 each-way Super Yankee and a €0.50 each-way accumulator on five horses running at Dundalk on Wednesday.
€6.20 Stakes Comes In Big
That meant they parted with a modest total stake of €6.20, but the investment overcame a massive hurdle when outsider Kartayaz, picked out at 80/1, sprung a huge surprise by winning the 4.15.
Less than three hours later, five winners were in the bag after Spy (7/2), Kc Bear (7/1), Golden Trigger (11/4) and Lahore Da King (18/1) sealed a sensational streak of winning selections. With five winners from five, the shrewd punter was able to return to the shop to collect a jaw-dropping total of €84,599.60.
A spokesperson for BOYLE Sports said:
“There’s never a bad time to pull off a coup like this, but we send huge congratulations to our big winner in County Louth, who will never forget Christmas 2025! With a couple of really unfancied winners in there, they deserve every cent, and we hope they thoroughly enjoy the celebrations.”
