US Open 2023 Betting Favourites

Iga Swiatek – 11/4

Favourite for the 2023 US Open is the Polish force Iga Świątek who is favourite to retrain her 2022 US Open success.

The Women’s World Number (1) won the competition in 2022 for the firs-time and on the fourth time of asking after progressing year through the competition in 2019 she reached Round 2, 2020 the third-round, 2021 the fourth round before winning it in 2022. Her overall record at the tournament is 13-3 which is winning  81% of her matches, the only major where she performs better is the French Open with a win-rate of 93%.

Despite still only being 22, she has built up quite the resume with Prize-Money of $19,630,763 won, a career record of 260–62 (80.7%), 15 Career Titles which includes four Grand Slam wins French Open 2020, 2022, 2023 and the 2022 US Open.

Victory at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at the end of August and the start of September would see her short yet impressive career continue.

Aryna Sabelenka -4/1

Third in the betting is Aryna Sabelenka who will also be looking to become a multiple-time Grand Slam winner at this event following her victory in the 2023 Australian Open back in January.

The World Number (2) best-ever US Open finish came at her last two appearances being a semi-finalist in 2021 and 2022. Her full record at the event is 15-5 which is a win rate of 75%.  Her career record so far is 339–166 (67.1%) and 13 Career titles.

Sabalenka has a very aggressive style of play, often accumulating high numbers of winners and unforced errors. With her height, she also has a very powerful serve. She is certainly one to watch at 25 she has plenty of years of top tennis left in her.

Elena Rybakina – 6/1

Second favourite for the 2023 US Open is Elena Rybakina who will be looking to land her second career Grand Slam at the US Open after winning Wimbledon in 2022.

World Number (4) Elena's best finish at the event came in 2021 when she reached the third round. However, it has been quite the rise from Elena in the last year as in at the 2022 US Open she was only seeded 25th and was knocked out in the first-round by Clara Burel who was only a qualifier.

2023 has been a very successful year for Elena winning the Indian Wells Open, Italian Open, reaching the final of the Australian Open, the Quarter-Final of Wimbledon and the Semi-Final of the Canadian Open a line of form establishing herself as one of the best players on tour.

Victory at the US Billie Jean King National Tennis Center at the end of August and the start of September would see her rising tennis stature continue doubling her Grand Slam tally to two.

Jessica Pegula– 14/1

Next in the betting is Jessica Pegula who will be looking to land her first-ever Grand Slam title at the 2023 US Open having been a consistent competitor at the later stages of Grand Slams for the last 2 years.

The World Number (3) is at the highest point she has ever been in the tennis rankings, which is a testament to her rise in the last two years appearing in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 Australian Open Quarter-Finals, 2022 French Open Quarter-Final, 2023 Wimbledon Quarter-Final and 2022 US Open Quarter-Final.

Jessica’s career record to date is 378–227 (62.5%) with 3 Career titles, and that record only looks like improving in the coming years.
