Fight Analysis
Ahead of this bout 10/12 of Alex Pereria’s successes have come via knockout, with 2 of his other successes coming via decision with the majority of those knockouts being via punches, aside from a TKO (flying knee and punches) at UFC 268 to go 4-1 and at UFC 303 when he won via TKO (head kick and punches).
Pereira looks unstoppable at times in the Octagon with his explosive power but at 37 he is 5 years the elder of his opponent and might need an early stoppage or could gas out as the bout goes on.
Magomed Ankalaev has a similar skillset with 10/19 wins coming via knockout and 9 of the 19 coming via decision as well as one draw. He’s most dangerous with his fists but has used his legs to win on occasion at UFC Fight Night in 2018 he won with a KO (head kick and punches) to go 9-1 and at UFC Fight Night in 2019 to go 11-1 via KO (front kick and punches
