Middleweight: Gregory Rodrigues vs Brunno Ferreira

Welterweight: Mounir Lazzez vs Gabriel Bonfim
Hill defeated Thiago Santos via KO/TKO last time he was in the octagon back in August. The American is 4-1 in his last five fights with all of those victories coming by KO/TKO.
Hill on the other hand likes to fight standing up. He throws punches in flurries with an average of 6.46 strikes landed per minute in the octagon compared to Teixeira who only lands 3.80 punches per minute.
With an electric Brazilian home crowd behind him I think Glover Teixeira takes this fight to the floor and wins via submission.
Prediction: Glover Teixeira by Submission at 13/5
The last time we saw Moreno in the octagon he was victorious against Kara-France last July via a KO/TKO. Moreno is 3-1-1 in his last five contests with two of his wins coming via KO/TKO.
Figueirido won the last fight between the two last January and he hasn’t seen competitive fighting action since then.
There’s clearly very little separating these two fighters but Moreno was in the octagon again in July while Figueiredo is now a year without live competitive fighting reps so I’m picking Moreno to edge this one.
Prediction: Moreno via KO/TKO or DQ at 13/2
Magny last fought only a couple months ago against Daniel Rodriguez where he won via submission. In his last five fights Magny is 3-2 and two of those wins have come by decision.
It’s hard to see a path to victory for Magny in this one so the pick is Burns to win via KO/TKO.
Prediction: Gilbert Burns by KO/TKO or DQ at 29/10
Andrade was victorious last time out with a submission win over Amanda Lemos last April. The Brazilian is 3-2 in her last five contests with two of her wins coming via KO/TKO.
I’m going with Andrade to win here and the value bet looks to be submission with her most recent victory coming by an arm triangle.
Prediction: Jessica Andrade by Submission at 11/2
Walker was victorious in his most recent fight against Cutelaba with the win coming from submission. The Brazilian is 2-3 over his last five contests with two of those losses via decision.
Craig has the upperhand in grappling and if he can get this fight on the floor then he likely wins. Walker’s defence isn’t the best so that could allow Craig to get land a takedown and win the fight from that position.
Prediction: Paul Craig by Points or Submission at 13/8

UFC 283 Picks & Predictions
Glover Teixeira vs Jamahal Hill
Fighter Records
Glover Teixeira: 33-8-0 | Jamahal Hill: 11-1-0Form
Teixeira comes into this fight off the back of a submission loss to Prochazka at UFC 275 last June. In his last five fights the Brazilian is 4-1 with three of those wins coming via submission.Hill defeated Thiago Santos via KO/TKO last time he was in the octagon back in August. The American is 4-1 in his last five fights with all of those victories coming by KO/TKO.
Fighting styles
Teixeira: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu | Hill: Brazilian Jiu-JitsuFight Analysis
This is a matchup between two fighters with opposing styles. Teixeira will want to get this fight to the floor where he knows he has the upper hand. The Brazilian averages 2.20 takedown attempts per 15 minutes in the octagon.Hill on the other hand likes to fight standing up. He throws punches in flurries with an average of 6.46 strikes landed per minute in the octagon compared to Teixeira who only lands 3.80 punches per minute.
With an electric Brazilian home crowd behind him I think Glover Teixeira takes this fight to the floor and wins via submission.
Prediction: Glover Teixeira by Submission at 13/5
Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno
Fighter Records
Deivieson Figueiredo: 21-2-1 | Brandon Moreno: 20-6-2Form
Figueiredo’s last fight was a victory against his opponent Moreno back in January of last year. In his last five fights the Brazilian is 3-1-1 with two of those wins coming via submission. The last time we saw Moreno in the octagon he was victorious against Kara-France last July via a KO/TKO. Moreno is 3-1-1 in his last five contests with two of his wins coming via KO/TKO.
Fighting styles
Figueiredo: Wrestling | Moreno: Brazilian Jiu-JitsuFight Analysis
These fighters have fought each other a staggering three times over a period of a little over two years. The record in those three fights is a perfectly split 1-1-1.Figueirido won the last fight between the two last January and he hasn’t seen competitive fighting action since then.
There’s clearly very little separating these two fighters but Moreno was in the octagon again in July while Figueiredo is now a year without live competitive fighting reps so I’m picking Moreno to edge this one.
Prediction: Moreno via KO/TKO or DQ at 13/2
Gilbert Burns vs Neil Magny
Fighter Records
Gilbert Burns: 20-5-0 | Neil Magny: 27-10-0Form
Burns’s last fight ended in a loss to Chimaev by unanimous decision in April of last year. Over his last five fights Burns has a record of 3-2 with two of those wins coming via decision.Magny last fought only a couple months ago against Daniel Rodriguez where he won via submission. In his last five fights Magny is 3-2 and two of those wins have come by decision.
Fighting styles
Burns: Striker | Magny: Mixed Martial ArtistFight Analysis
Burns is the massive favourite going into this fight and it’s not hard to see why. The Brazilian is a powerful striker and also more than capable on the canvas. With that being said, you can expect to see Burns keep this fight upright as Magny is a skilled grappler who would love to fight from the floor. It’s hard to see a path to victory for Magny in this one so the pick is Burns to win via KO/TKO.
Prediction: Gilbert Burns by KO/TKO or DQ at 29/10
Jessica Andrade vs Lauren Murphy
Fighter Records
Lauren Murphy: 16-5-0 | Jessica Andrade: 23-9-0Form
Murphy’s last fighting action in the octagon was in July of last year when she defeated Miesha Tate by unanimous decision. Over the course of her last five fights Murphy is 4-1 with three of those victories coming via decision.Andrade was victorious last time out with a submission win over Amanda Lemos last April. The Brazilian is 3-2 in her last five contests with two of her wins coming via KO/TKO.
Fighting styles
Lauren Murphy: Mixed Martial Artist | Jessica Andrade: StrikerFight Analysis
The odds makers have installed Andrade as a heavy favourite in this one and it’s hard to disagree with that assessment. The Brazilian Andrade is the much more explosive and powerful fighter so you can expect Murphy to struggle defending Andrade’s attacks.I’m going with Andrade to win here and the value bet looks to be submission with her most recent victory coming by an arm triangle.
Prediction: Jessica Andrade by Submission at 11/2
Paul Craig vs Johnny Walker
Fighter Records
Paul Craig: 16-5-1 | Johnny Walker: 19-7-0Form
Craig’s last fight came in July and he suffered a defeat on that occasion to Oezdemir by unanimous decision. That was Craig’s only defeat in his last five fights as he has a 4-1 record over that stretch, half of those victories came by submission and the other half via KO/TKO.Walker was victorious in his most recent fight against Cutelaba with the win coming from submission. The Brazilian is 2-3 over his last five contests with two of those losses via decision.
Fighting styles
Paul Craig: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu | Johnny Walker: StrikerFight Analysis
This is an interesting fight because Walker has the clear physical advantages with a 3-inch height advantage and 6-inch reach advantage but Craig is the much smarter fighter.Craig has the upperhand in grappling and if he can get this fight on the floor then he likely wins. Walker’s defence isn’t the best so that could allow Craig to get land a takedown and win the fight from that position.
Prediction: Paul Craig by Points or Submission at 13/8
