Whyte is the mandatory challenger for the second defence of Fury’s WBC title and trainer SugarHill Steward, who will be in Fury’s corner for the bout, told BoyleSports that they don’t want to leave the result in the hands of the judges.

“We're going for the knockout,” he said. “Every round, every moment we'll be looking for that knockout punch, looking to make the guy make the mistake and when he makes the mistake, we're going to catch him.

"That's the whole idea wrapped up in one. There are judges and everything, but why do we want to use judges when there's two men in there who can decide this fight on their own?

"There's an old saying - if you want something done right, do it yourself.”

A Fury win by knockout has been backed into 8/11 from 5/6 with BoyleSports and is rated the most likely outcome according to the betting, with the chances of the fight being settled within the allotted 12 rounds also odds-on at 2/5.

There has been an increase in interest in an upset this week with Dillian Whyte clipped into 4/1 from 9/2 to win the bout, but Fury is still taking a large majority of the support and is 1/6 to retain his title.

The bulk of support remains for Fury and they’re confident of a knockout too, which is odds-on and in danger of going shorter before the bell. ""
