East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta is the destination for a star-studded field of 30 players this week, and we have picked out our TOUR Championship 2025 betting tips.
The strange handicap system, based on FedEx Cup standings, used in recent years, has thankfully been scrapped in favour of a straightforward 72-hole stroke play format.
Even so, past form at this venue plays a prominent part in our selections.

Scottie Scheffler is the favourite going into this year’s TOUR Championship at odds of 6/4. Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy bids to cap off his PGA Tour season with a victory and is 17/2 to do just that at East Lake. Names like Tommy Fleetwood (14/1) and Ludvig Aberg (16/1) also figure prominently in the TOUR Championship betting.
TOUR Championship Betting Tips
Tip #1
RORY McILROY TO WIN – 17/2
The Northern Irishman lifted this trophy in 2016, 2019 and 2022, posting the lowest gross total each time, so a trend of winning here every three years can hopefully continue.
With a trio of victories from 15 events contested this season, McIlroy is also pitching for player-of-the-year honours at one of his favourite courses.
Is Rory McIlroy the Greatest European Golfer Ever?
The 36-year-old had a nice break after finishing T2 at the Scottish Open and T7 at The Open before returning to action with a solid T12 at the BMW Championship.
It is hard to argue with Scottie Scheffler being a hot favourite at 6/4 after he made it five wins in his last 10 outings by reeling in Robert MacIntyre at Caves Valley on Sunday, but we just feel the value lies with McIlroy this time.
Tip #2
JUSTIN THOMAS EACH-WAY – 22/1
The 32-year-old’s recent form leaves a lot to be desired, with a six-over-par showing at the BMW Championship clearly a concern.
That was a fourth straight finish outside of the top 20, but his previous three displays had at least featured some superb rounds, including closing 65s at the Scottish Open and the St Jude Championship.
June’s Travelers Championship T9 was another mixed bag, with a 64 and two 67s ruined by a 73 on day three.
Who Will Win The 2025 Ryder Cup?
So, Thomas does have low scores in him if he can find some stability and put it together over all four sessions, which is what he invariably does at this tournament.
Course form figures of 7-4-4-3-9-7-2-6 over the past decade are eye-catching, averaging under 68 for each round across those eight visits.
Tip #3
BEN GRIFFIN EACH-WAY @ 35/1
The American was among our picks for the BMW Championship and certainly did not disgrace himself with a T12 placing alongside McIlroy.
Only a second-round 72 spoiled an otherwise rock-solid performance, with an opening 67 backed up by two 69s over the weekend.
The 29-year-old has been a model of consistency in 2025, posting two wins and nine top-10 finishes.
With a Ryder Cup wild card still to aim for, Griffin will not lack focus for this season finale.
