In honour of Aaron Ramsey's wonder strike v Galatasaray last night, we've put together the 10 best Champions League goals ever scored.
10. Lucho Gonzalez, Porto (v Hamburg)
Utterly stupendous strike from the Argentine wizard. With the ball dropping from a cleared header, Gonzalez, head down, bangs it back from 25 yards on the volley. Amazing.
9. Aaron Ramsey, Arsenal (v Galatasaray)
A corner cleared, Ramsey, about 30 yards out, body half turned, pings it on his left into the top corner with a laser-guided missile of an effort.
8. Claudio Lopez, Valencia (v PSV)
A long punt from just inside Valencia's half into PSV's box lands just over their striker, Claudio Lopez's shoulder who instinctively volleys it first time with his left into the net. One of the all-time greats.
7. Marco Van Basten, AC Milan (v Gothenburg)
We couldn't not have this one in the list, frankly. One of the most famous overhead kicks ever scored by one of the most famous strikers to ever play the game.
6. Gheorghe Hagi, Galatasaray (v Monaco)
A list of great goals wouldn't be complete without a thunderbastard from Gheorghe Hagi. 27 keepers would have kept this piledriver against Monaco.
5. Charles Eduoard Coridon, PSG (v Porto)
It's ridiculously hard to actually catch how Coridon scored this initially but on replays, his Scorpion Kick effort is utterly amazing.
4. Steven Gerrard, Liverpool (v Olympiakos)
It's probably not the most spectacular efforts on the list but for what it meant, Gerrard's last-gasp effort had to make it.
3. Ronaldinho, Barcelona (v Chelsea)
This jaw-dropping effort still bamboozles years later. Absolutely no backlift. Barely a flick of his foot. Somehow Ronaldino rifles into the Chelsea net through a number of defenders. Genius.
2. Mauro Bressan, Fiorentina (v Barcelona)
Still the greatest overhead kick ever scored, Bressan's strike would be top of the list in any other scenario.
1. Zinedine Zidane, Real Madrid (v Bayer Leverkusen)
Simply one of the greatest goals ever scored, Zidane's effort in the 2002 Champions League Final will live on forever.
