Tiger Woods produced his best PGA Tour showing since 2015 at the Honda Classic to see his odds cut yet again to win the US Masters in April.
His third round 69 was also his first in the 60s on the PGA Tour since 2015.
Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth remain 8/1 joint favourites to win the Green Jacket, but Woods is seeing continued support for a high finish with a Top 5 placing into 10/3 from 9/2, and a Top 10 finish now 6/4 from 5/2 just before the Honda Classic.
The Honda Classic performance made it two cuts from three appearances this year and Woods is now an odds-on shot at 4/11 to go on to make the weekend at The Masters.
One thing for sure is that he loves Augusta and punters are perhaps wary of him returning good results in between because he’s unlikely to go off as big as 20/1 if he gets near the winners’ roster before The Masters tees off.
