Tom Brady is being backed for an instant impact at his new team as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers saw their odds on a Super Bowl victory slashed after signing him from the New England Patriots.
The legendary quarterback took to social media this week wearing a t-shirt referring to his six Super Bowl wins, but vowed to make the shirt ‘outdated’ as he settled into his digs in Tampa Bay.
That prospect is now just a 14/1 shot with BoyleSports, as the Florida based outfit have been gambled in from 25/1 shots to bag their second Super Bowl and first since 2002. The Buccaneers are now 8/1 from 12/1 to win the NFC and take part in Super Bowl LV, which will take place in their own Raymond James Stadium in February 2021.
The New England Patriots on the other hand have seen their odds pushed out to 20/1 from 11/1 since Brady’s departure was confirmed.
Some of the more optimistic Brady fans have taken the 100/1 available on the Buccaneers putting in a perfect 16-0 season, while their new star quarterback is 25/1 to be crowned the regular season MVP.
They’re now 14/1 from 25/1 and are receiving ever increasing support in a clear indication that punters still believe Brady is far from past it.
