Since the qualifying round was introduced in 1993 they haven’t had the best of times, only making the top-10 four times. Switzerland will be represented by Nemo at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest following being internally selected by the Swiss broadcaster Swiss Broadcasting Corporation (SRG SSR). Nemp is a versatile musician who has been known to rap, and sing, whilst also playing the piano and the drums.

“The Code” is the song set to be sung by Eurovision at the 2024 Contest which was co-written by Benjamin Alasu, Lasse Midtsian Nymann, Linda Dale, and Nemo Mettler. The song is a “popera” with a modern-day electronic sound that could go quite well in Eurovision circles. However, it remains to be seen how the song will be approached for a live performance. The song also deals with the issue of identity and Nemo’s struggles and feelings with the issue.

The best 10 countries from Semi-Final 2 will qualify for the Grand Final on Saturday the 11th of May.
