Supreme Novices’ Hurdle Tips From Robbie Power
Former Gold Cup winning jockey Robbie Power, who is now an assistant trainer for Henry De Bromhead, told a BoyleSports preview night at their Gloucester shop last night that he can understand the market support for Workahead:
“I can see why the move has come the way the form has worked out. Redemption Day won at Naas at the weekend and he was behind Workahead at Christmas at Leopardstown. William Munny was behind him that day too and he went on to win impressively at Punchestown.
“Henry’s horses always run above themselves at Cheltenham. He’s got that knack of fitness and freshness when it comes to the Festival, he’s been a master of it. I wouldn’t put it past him having a couple of winners.
"Kopek Des Bordes looks the class act in the race going by what he did at the Dublin Racing Festival, but I think he could be vulnerable. You see it often at Cheltenham where the horses run their race before they get to the start and he’s in that bracket of horses that could possibly do that.”
