Chris McCausland has already been backed down to hot favourite at 11/10 with bookie BoyleSports to be crowned Strictly Come Dancing champion after just two weeks on the dancefloor.
The comedian may not have topped the leaderboard with his latest foxtrot but he has won over fans with his hilarious quips, the latest of which begrudged a scheduling clash with Liverpool’s Premier League match against Wolves, which he says left half his core voter group “watching the football.”
However McCausland, the first blind contestant to take part in the show, impressed judges enough for a steady haul of 29 points and he is now the frontrunner for the glitterball according to the oddsmakers, despite starting out as an unlikely winner at 16/1.

“We originally put Chris McCausland in the middle of the pack, but punters clearly believe he’ll have the last laugh and rarely has such a popular favourite emerged at this early stage of the competition.”
The highest score of week two went to ex-Love Islander Tasha Ghorui, who is now second favourite for the Strictly title at 10/3, while JLS singer JB Gill is also considered a likely contender at 6/1.
Toyah Wilcox has been condemned to the lowest cumulative score through the opening two performances and has it all to do to extend her stay as she is now the 100/1 rank outsider, with Nick Knowles (80/1) also rated in imminent danger of receiving his marching orders.
