Strictly Come Dancing Tips
Tasha Ghouri, Chris McCausland & JB Gill Battle It Out For Early Strictly Favouritism
Tasha Ghouri has emerged as the early frontrunner at odds of 3/1 with BoyleSports for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, but punters also believe comedian Chris McCausland could have the last laugh.
Fifteen celebs took to the dancefloor for their first individual dances on Saturday night with JB Gill, Tasha Ghouri and Sarah Hadland all impressing the judges on the hit BBC show.
Ghouri and Hadland (7/2) both carded an impressive score of 30 from the four judges, with ex-JLS star and X Factor runner-up JB Gill (7/2) topping the podium on night one with 31 points. The early market mover however was Chris McCausland, whose odds have plummeted from 25/1 into 7/2 as the comedian quickly became a fan favourite along with dance partner, Dianne Buswell.
McCausland is the first blind contestant to have competed on Strictly Come Dancing and his sharp humour is already catching the attention of punters and he’s quickly become the best backed celeb on this year’s show.
Favourites To Be The First Contestant To Be Voted Off
Attention has also turned to which celeb will face the axe first with five celebs failing to hit the 20-points mark on Saturday’s leaderboard. Toyah Wilcox emerged with a score of just 12 and is now an 80/1 shot to lift the Glitterball, but it’s Nick Knowles and Paul Merson that could be fighting it out in the first dance-off of the season, with the duo both rated 100/1 outsiders.
Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said:
“Glitz and glamour have returned to our screens on Saturdays and while Tasha Ghouri and JB Gill took the dancefloor by storm, it’s funny-man Chris McCausland that punters are hoping will be crowned this year’s Strictly champ.”
