The National Hurling League kicks off this weekend with current champions Waterford facing a tough task as they take on Kilkenny on Sunday.

The Déise are 5/4 to cause an upset on Sunday with Kilkenny priced at 8/11 and a draw on offer at 9/1. ""

Another interesting tie sees Tipperary clash with Dublin on Saturday evening. The Premier County are red hot at 1/3 to see off Dublin (5/2) with a draw priced at 10/1.

In the Division One outright betting, Kilkenny head the field at 2/1 as they bid to win an 18th National Hurling League title. Nineteen time champions Tipperary are next in the betting at 10/3 to win a record 20th title whilst reigning champions Waterford can be backed at 11/2 to retain the Division 1 trophy and register a 4th title.

We are seeing plenty of interest in the current 10/3 about Tipperary, Kilkenny and Galway all winning their opening round matches at the weekend and we're starting to see some shrewd support for reigning champions Waterford at 11/2 whose price is sure to harden if they can see past The Cats at Walsh Park on Sunday.
