The Eurovison Semi-Final 1 saw sixteen countries become ten on Tuesday night. Russia were backed off the boards ahead of the semi-final and were cut in from 10/1 to 5/1, however following their qualification they are now 5/2 to win the song contest for the second time.

Serbia are ones to watch with their track ‘Beauty Never Lies’ going down a treat and are the biggest movers since their qualification at 28/1 from a massive 200/1. Estonia also impressed with ‘Goodbye To Yesterday’ and are 12/1 having qualified after missing the cut last year.

Semi-Final 2 gets underway on Thursday where seventeen acts will sing for their place in Saturday’s Final. Having failed to qualify last year the pressure is on for Ireland, who are 7/5 to make it to the finals.

Molly Sterling is representing the Eurovision’s most successful country and is 40/1 to win semi-final 2 with ‘Playing with Numbers’.

Ireland can also be backed at the big price of 125/1 to win the song contest for a record eight time. ""

Sweden are red hot favourites to win the second semi-final at 4/9 and are continuing to head the Outright betting at 11/5. Slovenia have yet to win a semi-final and are on offer at 9/1 to do so this year.

2011 winners Azerbaijan and 2009 winners Norway are also priced at 9/1.

Ireland are the biggest liability in Thursday’s semi-Final outright betting, however this could be down to some patriotic bets. After Serbia shortened right in from 200/1 to 28/1, all is not lost for Ireland just yet at 125/1, we just need to qualify.

Serbia have shot right up the betting following their semi-final performance on Tuesday night and we have seen an obscene amount of money come in for them to win resulting in our traders making them one of the dark horses of the competition so far”
