Brendan Rodgers faces his biggest challenge in charge at Anfield when his side need a win at home to Basel to avoid being dumped out of the Champions League at the group stages.
Liverpool v Basel, Tuesday 7:45, live on ITV & TV3
I believe this could be another terrible night for the Reds and one which could ultimately cost Rodgers his job. It's no surprise to see Liverpool favourites with Boylesports for this match, but really who could honestly contemplate a wager on them at quotes of 3/4?
A packed, passionate and vocal Kop support will be 100 per cent behind their team but this Liverpool side isn't very good. They were truly awful in the goalless draw at the weekend against Sunderland and didn't register ONE shot on target, their backers may say that they had one eye on this one, but the warning signs have been their all season.
In the 12 matches they have played at once fortress Anfield they have just five victories and in their last 11 matches both home and away they've won just three.
Boylesports punters still believe that Liverpool can turn the form on like a switch but there are big problems both on and off the pitch at Anfield and they can't be trusted at these quotes.
Basel only need a point to qualify themselves and the draw does look a great wager here at Boylesports' massive 3/1. Liverpool are finding it very hard to break teams down that come to Anfield to park the bus, they couldn't get past Sunderland or Hull in two dire 0-0 draws and only just edged past Stoke 1-0.
Rodgers' side have failed to score in three of their last six home matches and I can yet again see the Kop faithful having another frustrating night in front of goal.
If there is going to be goals, I would say they would come from the visitors who are 19/5 outsiders to gain the victory.
The Swiss champions don't need the three points so a draw is good enough, but as the hosts throw more players forward in search of a winner the more liable they are to be hit on the counter-attack. Unlike Liverpool, they are scoring goals for fun with 21 in their last eight matches and sit eight points clear at the top of the Swiss Super League.
The two sides have met in Champions League three times previously and Basel have never lost against Liverpool. Early in the qualification campaign they won 1-0 with a goal from Marco Streller and the ONLY in-form striker on display on Tuesday night is a massive 8/1 with Boylesports to open the scoring in this one.

Galatasaray v Arsenal, Tuesday 7:45, live on Sky Sports 5
Finishing top of a Champions League group is something Arsenal often struggle with and this year looks to be no different. Borussia Dortmund are in the driving seat in Group D and only a win for the Gunners will give them any chance of topping their German rivals.
I fully expect the boys from the Emirates to go to Istanbul and get the job done. I do like the 13/10 with Boylesports about Arsenal and would be happy to get with them at that price. Going to Turkey isn’t quite the challenge it once was. Gala are guaranteed to finish bottom of the group and have nothing to play for in this one, so I can’t get involved with the 21/10 being offered by Boylesports for the home win.
Arsenal put Galatasaray to the sword when the teams met in North London, running out 4-1 winners. A repeat of the score is priced at 33/1 with Boylesports but I don’t think we’ll see that many goals again!
It's looking quite likely that main man Alexis Sanchez is going to be rested ahead of a busy Christmas schedule. That means Arsenal need another hero. The man I’m backing to do the business is Danny Welbeck. The Englishman needs to put in a decent performance and bring a bit of a buzz back to the Emirates. The 5/1 with Boylesports on the English international to score first is where I’m looking in this one.
We all know things aren't quite right at Arsenal at the moment.
Arsene Wenger is a man under pressure but his side have looked a lot more consistent in the Champions League as apposed to their domestic campaign. I think the Gunners will do a professional job in Turkey on Tuesday and a 2-0 win is something I fancy.
Galatasaray have been poor in the competition this year and have only netted three times in their five games and have conceded more goals than all but one team. With nothing to play for and Arsenal desperate to put the pressure on Dortmund, I’m liking the 12/1 on offer with Boylesports on a 2-0 Arsenal win.
B Lucky!
