The first live Premier League game of 2015 is the lunch time clash between Stoke and Manchester United at the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke v Manchester United
Both of these sides come into the New Year in a good run of form and this one is a lot trickier than the BoyleSports will have you believe.

Stoke have only lost once in their last five matches and that was against Premier League favourites Chelsea and former Man United striker Mark Hughes will be confident that his side can produce a 31/10 shock... I'm not so sure.

United arrive in the Potteries as the in-form team in the country and it's no surprise to me to see them as BoyleSports even money favourites for this one.

Louis Van Gaal's side have only lost once in their last 14 matches, but with sub-zero temperatures I couldn't be backing this bunch of prima-donnas at those prices, they've already started moaning about the Christmas fixture list and a trip to Stoke is this last thing they would fancy.

Instead of getting involved in the match betting, I'm going to make a case for a few goals in this one.

Five of Stoke's last seven home matches have seen both teams scoring and in five of United's last eight matches both teams have scored and at BoyleSports 5/6 thats the best bet for me to start the New Year with.

These two met at Old Trafford earlier in the season and United came through as 2-1 winners and at BoyleSports' 15/2 thats probably not a bad shout again and a much more profitable way to get with them rather than the short odds on them just to win the match.

With goals expected and a whole host of attacking talent on display in the Man Utd ranks it's difficult to find a single player to open the scoring.

I find the BoyleSports' 5/1 on Wayne Rooney surprising and no value considering that Van Gaal players him his new midfield role, Robin Van Persie will be popular at 4/1 and I couldn't touch BoyleSports' 9/2 on Radamel Falcao but the man who gets my vote is Juan Mata at a lovely 8/1 with BoyleSports.

The Spaniard has been superb in the last couple of weeks weighing in with some important goals and in my view was the best player on the pitch in last weeks 0-0 draw with Tottenham.

He's finally finding his form in a Man Utd shirt and in a more attacking role and with confidence sky high he's my bet to start the New Year with a bang.

REMEMBER - Double Bubble if Mata or any first goalscorer winning selections nets the opener inside the opening 20 minutes BoyleSports will double the odds on your winning selection.

Seeley's Selections:
Both Teams To Score @ 5/6
Man United To Win 2-1 @ 15/2
Juan Mata To Score 1st @ 8/1

Man City v Sunderland
ODDS-ON punters will be licking their lips hoping to start the New Year in winning fashion when champions Manchester City the shortest price on the BoyleSports New Years Day coupon entertain Sunderland at the Etihad.

The champions are just 1/4 with BoyleSports to win this and the question you have to ask is can they be trusted at those prices after throwing a 2-0 lead away in their last match at the Etihad against the mighty Burnley?

I think they will win, but they certainly aren't worth risking your readies on at that price.
Manuel Pellegrini is without the services of Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko and that pair for the first time were sorely missed in the Burnley game.

So where do we make money in this one? Well, being a season ticket at the Stadium of Light must be a painful experience this season and none of the Sunderland faithful can seriously be looking to back their team in this one even at a monster 12/1 with BoyleSports.

Gus Poyet looks determined to bore his way to Premier League survival and the weekends 0-0 draw with Aston Villa was their SIXTH goalless draw this season and amazingly their 11th stalemate of the season.

The draw is the best they can hope for in this one at BoyleSports 11/2 and Poyet will put 10 men behind the ball to try to frustrate their way to another 0-0 which is available at 18/1 with BoyleSports.

It can't happen. City will eventually break the Black Cats down, it might take a bit of time, but they will do it.

I really like a City win to nil which at BoyleSports stand-out EVS is not only my best bet in this one, but it's also my best bet of the Premier League programme this weekend.""

City have won five of their last eight games to nil and against a side which will offer nothing in the way of attacking intent that is the best way to play.

I also think it may take the home side a while to break the visitors down and a small play on a draw at half-time and a Man City full-time win at 31/10 with BoyleSports is another bet I like.

Earlier in the season City went to the Stadium of Light and won 4-1 thats a 14/1 chance with BoyleSports to happen again, I can't see that, but a 2-0 home win at 11/2 with BoyleSports is much more likely.

City are unbeaten in their last 11 at home to Sunderland and that run will continue and the man to get the goals is David Silva.

The Spanish play-maker is grabbing the goals in the absence of Aguero and Dzeko and the 5/1 with BoyleSports on him netting the opener is decent play and hopefully he can net inside the opening 20 minutes to land the "Double Bubble".

Seeley's Selections:
Man City To Win To Nil @ EVS
Draw HT/Man City FT @ 31/10
David Silva To Score 1st @ 5/1

Tottenham v Chelsea
TWO in-form Premier League teams clash in the evening London derby when Tottenham take on Chelsea at White Hart Lane.

BoyleSports have Chelsea as the heavy 3/4 favourites to win this one, but Tottenham fans will be optimistic that they can produce a 4/1 shock... Get real.

After a shaky start Mauricio Pochettino has got his team finally playing the way he wants them to.

Spurs have only lost once in their last seven matches and haven't lost at home since November but before we get carried away about the home side in this one.. they are playing Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho's side have lost just the once all season at Newcastle and since that defeat they have won five and drawn one of their six matches.

They drew at the weekend against Southampton but their performance was superb and how they never came back from the south coast with maximum points i don't know.

In the last couple of weeks we have made some serious money by backing Chelsea to win to nil, and although we lost our dough in the Southampton match I'm not going to change my strategy for this one.

A Chelsea win to nil is available at 19/10 with BoyleSports and that is a much better way to get involved than a heavy investment in the odds-on quotes on them just to win the game.

Tottenham drew 0-0 at the weekend against Man United and Harry Kane and co could still be playing now and they wouldn't have scored. I can't see that powder puff strike force causing any problems for Gary Cahill and John Terry in this one.

Earlier in the season when the two met at Stamford Bridge Chelsea cruised to a 3-0 win and I can see a very similar result again. A 3-0 victory is available at 12/1 with BoyleSports but I'm siding with a 2-0 success which is a lovely 7/1 with BoyleSports.

Diego Costa is the BoyleSports 3/1 favourite to open the scoring which is no surprise, but John Terry has netted the opener in two of the last three Chelsea matches and has landed the "Double Bubble" and the skipper is a massive 20/1 with BoyleSports to open the scoring in this one.

Seeley's Selections:
Chelsea To Win To Nil @ 19/10
Chelsea To Win 2-0 @ 7/1
Terry To Score 1st @ 20/1
