Scotland have the chance to claim a stranglehold on a top-two spot in Group C when they welcome struggling Belarus to Hampden, set for October 12, 2025.
Steve Clarke’s men remained level on points with leaders Denmark after striking late to beat Greece on Thursday and they should follow up that success with another victory on Sunday.
Belarus have lost all three of their qualifiers by a combined 13-1 scoreline, including heavy away defeats to the Greeks and Danes, and Scotland will look for something similar in Glasgow.
We think they will do that, and you can get a 3-0, 3-1 or 3-2 Scotland win at 10/3 . Alternatively, Scotland to win both halves is 6/5.

Head-to-Head
Head to Head
The two nations have played each other five times previously, all in World Cup qualifying, with Scotland winning three and Belarus one.
They first met in June 1997, with Scotland winning 1-0 in Minsk thanks to a Gary McAllister penalty before braces from Kevin Gallagher and David Hopkin earned Craig Brown’s team a 4-1 triumph at Pittodrie a few months later.
Scotland would go on to finish second in their group which saw them qualify automatically for the World Cup finals as the best European runner-up - the last time they graced the big stage.
Scotland were not so fortunate the next time they met Belarus in 2005, with a 0-0 away draw and a 1-0 defeat in Glasgow proving costly as Walter Smith’s side missed out on a play-off spot.
The most recent encounter saw Scotland see off Belarus 2-0 last month thanks to a Che Adams strike and an own goal.
Scotland's Form
Scotland Form
Scotland began their qualifying campaign in promising fashion, earning a goalless draw in Denmark followed by a 2-0 win over Belarus in Zalaegerszeg.
Their first home match came against Greece on Thursday and the Scots made it count with a 3-1 comeback win, with Lewis Ferguson and Lyndon Dykes netting in the closing stages.
That left Clarke’s side level on seven points with Denmark and four ahead of Greece, with those two nations meeting in Copenhagen this weekend.
Scotland have now won six of their last 10 matches while losing only twice - albeit both coming at home - and they should feel confident about seeing off Belarus.
Adams and Dykes are both 10/3 to open the scoring this weekend.
Who Will Score First? – Scotland v Belarus 2026 WCQ
Belarus' Form
Belarus Form
At 100th in the world, Belarus are comfortably the lowest-ranked team in Group C and that has shown in results so far.
They lost 5-1 at Greece after shipping four goals in the opening 36 minutes before being sunk at home by Scotland.
Carlos Alos’ minnows were on the receiving end of another heavy defeat on Thursday, thumped 6-0 at home by Denmark, and their aim at Hampden is likely to be one of self-preservation rather than getting their first points on the board.
Belarus had started 2025 with three successive wins, although games against Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan did not prepare them well enough for their first major test as they were beaten 4-1 at home by a Yaroslav Gladyshev-inspired Russia in June, and World Cup qualifying has proven similarly difficult.
