A forecast cold snap has put this weekend’s National Hunt fixtures under threat, but we’re hoping our ITV racing tips from Sandown and Wincanton can beat the big freeze.

With seven contests scheduled to be shown live on the box, these selections can be used for singles or multiple bets.

WINCANTON 13:30 – WICKED THOUGHTS

Joe Tizzard is enjoying an excellent campaign and this progressive six-year-old has shown a fine attitude to bag an Exeter double.

That was Wicked Thoughts ’ fourth success from just six starts over fences and he may still have the scope to cope with another 7lb uplift.

SANDOWN 13:50 – CAN YOU CALL

Evan Williams ’ charge is the pick in the Unibet Middle Distance Veterans’ Handicap Chase after a clear-cut success in a similar heat at Cheltenham last time out.

The 11-year-old has been raised 7lb for that victory but it was a very taking performance and he seems to be very much at home in this division.

WINCANTON 14:05 – PREMIER

Warren Greatrex has enjoyed a fine run of results for the past month or so and this gelding did his bit by just getting up at Taunton despite hanging on the run-in.

SANDOWN 14:25 – THAT’LL DO MOSS

Was disappointing on her seasonal bow when already beaten with a couple to jump but her three rivals all had the benefit of a previous outing.

That’ll Do Moss was having her first start since an excellent Grade One second to Aurora Vega at Fairyhouse last April and Fergal O’Brien will be looking for an improved showing with her fitness boosted.

WINCANTON 14:40 – CALL ME LEGEND

Another to hail from an in-form yard, with Philip Hobbs and Johnson White going great guns this term.

Call Me Legend landed a Newton Abbot bumper on good ground last April and has been making steady progress over obstacles, catching the eye making late headway over a shorter trip on his most recent outing.

SANDOWN 15:05 – CREDO

Anthony Honeyball has a strong hand in the Unibet Veterans’ Handicap Chase final, as Badger Beers winner Gustavian is among the market leaders.

Credo was third to his stablemate that day but is now 10lb better off at the weights and is significantly reunited with top jockey Harry Cobden , who scored on him at Exeter and Carlisle last season.

SANDOWN 15:35 – HOT FUSS

Tom Dascombe deserves a change of fortune following three straight seconds over the festive period, including a fine 33/1 runner-up effort for this gelding at Ascot .

Hot Fuss was a course and distance winner last winter and looks a rock-solid each-way selection here if all eight go to post.
