This Wathnan Racing-owned son of Kingman has enjoyed comfortable odds-on wins at Haydock and Yarmouth and can carry that momentum into the Coral Rockingham Stakes.

Alan King’s two-year-old stayed on strongly to finish second in a hot maiden at York on debut before getting up close home over a mile at Yarmouth, so everything suggests he will be suited by stepping up to 10 furlongs for the Night Of Thunder Zetland Stakes.

The Charlie Appleby-trained colt kept on well to make a winning racecourse bow on the July Course, and that form has been franked by runner-up August George, who went on to score at Hamilton before finishing second in the Goffs Million at the Curragh.
Al Zanati still has an entry in the Futurity at Doncaster and could prove a cut above this weekend’s rivals in the Group Three Emirates Autumn Stakes.

Eve Johnson Houghton’s juvenile has already proven himself a bargain buy at just 35,000 guineas, and victory in the Group One Darley Dewhurst Stakes would be the icing on the cake.
After making a successful debut at Salisbury in June, Zavateri sprang an 18/1 surprise in the July Stakes at HQ and followed up with a gutsy 8/1 Vintage Stakes strike at Goodwood, when overcoming trouble in running.
He was again underestimated when fourth favourite of six runners in Ireland’s National Stakes but got the better of a great battle with market leader Gstaad.
The latter reopposes here and will provide a strong challenge again, along with Godolphin’s Distant Storm, but Zavateri is taken to maintain his unbeaten record.

Michael Dods’ three-year-old gave us a good run for our money when sixth of 25 in the Ayr Gold Cup and is worth sticking with in the Coral Sprint Trophy, having won over the same course and distance in August.

Six of the last seven winners of the Club Godolphin Cesarewitch Handicap have been trained in Ireland, and there is another strong raiding party from the Emerald Isle this term.
Charles Byrne, who struck in this race with Run For Oscar three years ago, sent Reverend Hubert over to bolt up by eight lengths in a recent course and distance trial, and a 4lb penalty may not stop him from following up in the big one.
