Robbie Power has singled out Allaho in this year’s Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
The Gold Cup and Grand National winning jockey told Leon Blanche that he is the one to beat but won’t be backing him at his current short price and instead likes Fakir Doudairies at 12/1 for each way value in the betting. Take a look below.

He said: “Allaho was very impressive when winning the Ryanair Chase last year. I rode Chris’s Dream in that race and we went a serious gallop from start to finish. There was no let up and the only horse that was able to go with him was Min and he ended up pulling up. That’s how strongly run the race was. Allaho burnt everything off.
“Fakir Doudairies stayed on strong to finish second from a little bit off the pace. Nothing else got into the race. If Allaho turned up in that form again he is going to be hard to beat. He wasn’t spectacular at Punchestown last month but he was gutsy and toughed it out really well.

“I wouldn’t be backing him at 11/10 to win the Ryanair again though. I think his price will be bigger on the day. There is plenty in the betting that will give him a challenge with Fakir Doudairies representing great each way value at 12/1.
“Asterion Forlonge is going to win a big one someday and I don’t think it will be going left-handed. This is his ideal trip at 2m5f and will have the pace to stick close enough to Allaho, but I do think at some stage he will win a big one and probably at big odds like 25/1 when Tornado Flyer won the King George. Midnight Shadow is huge each way value at 33/1 for trainer Sue Smith.
“Saint Calvados is another horse that represents great each-way value at 9/1. He will have the pace to travel close enough to Allaho and this looks his ideal trip.
