Unbeaten youngster Venetian Lace for trainer Charlie Johnson and owner Sheikh Hamdan was an impressive winner on debut at Chelmsford earlier this month and at 16/1 could be a strong each-way bet.

Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes – 15:40
The Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes is a prestigious Group 1 sprint over 6 furlongs and is renowned for attracting top international sprinters, it boasts a £1 million prize fund. This race, part of the British Champions Series, often crowns the meeting’s sprinting champion.
In 2024, Khaadem, trained by Charles Hills, achieved a remarkable back-to-back victory at 14-1 odds, ridden by Oisin Murphy. The eight-year-old made a late surge to win by half a length over Swingalong, capitalizing on a strong pace. Mill Stream, who later won the July Cup, finished third, while the 3-1 favourite Believing took fourth. The race showcased Khaadem’s resilience, defying age and long odds.
The current ante-post favourite, Lazzat, trained by Jerome Reynier, is currently priced at 3/1. This French sprinter impressed with a Group 3 Abernant Stakes victory at Newmarket, showcasing blistering pace. Punter's belief that he is adaptable to good or firm ground would make him a strong fit for Ascot.
Other contenders include Inisherin at 4/1 trained by Kevin Ryan, who triumphed in the 2024 Commonwealth Cup over this course and distance. His recent Group 2 Duke of York Stakes demonstrated his elite sprinting ability and Satono Reve at 7/2 the Japanese Grade 1 winner, bringing international class after a close second at Sha Tin. His speed and pedigree make him a serious threat on British soil.
Betting Tip: Back Lazzat either for his recent Group 3 win and ground versatility; or consider Inisherin each way for his Ascot course form.
Lazzat to win - 3/1

Last year’s winner, Haatem, showed resilience to win at 7-2 despite a penalty.
Betting Tip: Look for horses with recent 7-furlong form or Guineas placings, like Commanche Brave for each-way value.
