When is the Rose of Tralee 2025?

The Rose of Tralee International Festival 2025 runs from the 15th-19th of August.

You can watch the Rose of Tralee selection on TV at 8 pm on Monday, the 18th of August and at 8 pm on Tuesday, the 19th of August.

The winner will be crowned at the end of Tuesday night's show.

What Channel is the Rose of Tralee on?

The Rose of Tralee will be broadcast on RTÉ One, and you can also stream it on RTÉ Player.

Where is the Rose of Tralee held?

The Rose of Tralee selection nights that will be broadcast on television will take place at the Rose of Tralee Dome at MTU's Kerry Sports Academy.

Who Is Hosting The Rose of Tralee?

The 2025 Rose of Tralee will be hosted by Dáithi Ó Sé and Kathryn Thomas.

The Kerry man has been the host of the festival since 2010, but this is only the second time that he will be joined by a co-host, as popular RTÉ talent and host Kathryn Thomas joins him to present this year's festival.

The duo debuted as a host pairing for the 2024 festival, and their strong presenting chemistry meant it was always likely they’d reburn together for the 2025 festival.

Rose of Tralee Betting Favourites 2025

Cork Rose – Nancy Lehane

The favourite to win the 2025 Rose of Tralee is Cork Rose Nancy Lehane at odds of 3/1 to become the fourth Cork winner ever and the first since 1999.

Hailing from Meelin, which is the highest village, she recently completed her degree in primary teaching. Nancy describes teaching as always being a dream of hers, and she started teaching music to both kids and adults when she was 14.

A multi-talented musician, she began playing music at 5 and can now play guitar, piano, concertina, tin whistle, whilst also singing! Away from music, she also has a passion for sports, playing Gaelic Football for her local GAA Club and also enjoying the gym.

Kerry Rose – Laura Daly

The joint second favourite to win the 2025 Rose of Tralee is Kerry Rose Laura Daly, who will be looking to become the second local winner ever and the first since 1964 at odds of 5/1

Laura is a teacher, dancer and business owner from Ballymacelligott who recently graduated from May Immaculate College with a Bachelor of Arts and has recently been accepted into a Master's in Education to become a secondary teacher.

During her time in college, she founded LD Dance school, a studio grounded in creativity and self-expression. Her connection to the festival began from a young age when, as a young girl, she danced in parades and volunteered.

UAE Rose – Ceiline O’Meara

The other joint second favourite is UAE Rose Ceiline O’Meara, who will be looking to become the first winner from the UAE.

Ceiline is on a career break from Scoil an Spioraid Naoimh, Limerick, and is teaching in Sharjah, UAE. Another passionate musician playing both he harp and the piano, she brought the former with her to the UAE.

Such is her talent, she performed at the Dubai World Cup, and even had the honour of performing for Sheikh Saeed Al Maktoum. She is a former All-Ireland Fleadh winner, but away from music, she has also been a model since 2018.

Dublin Rose – Edel Cronin

Next in the betting is Edel Cronin with odds of 8/1 of becoming the sixth Dublin Rose winner and the first since 2003.

Edel is originally from Conamara but also has roots bedded in Dublin with a Nanny from Donnybrook, and she is also currently working as a Judicial Assistant in the Four Courts. She holds 3 degrees and is currently pursuing a BL at the Honourable King’s Inns.

Given she’s from Connemara, she is a native Irish speaker and describes herself as having a real Grá for the language. Away from her studies, she enjoys sea swimming and is a passionate volunteer for MS Society, a charity which deals with people affected by brain injuries.

Texas Rose – Sara Costa

Rounding off the market leaders is Texas Rose Sara Costa with odds of 8/1 of becoming the second Texas Rose winner and the first since 2013.

Sara is currently a student at the University of Texas in Austin, where she studies Political Communication and the Persian language, and she describes herself as passionate about community, connection, and learning. She also enjoys Irish Dancing, which she has done for over 15 years.
