Jordan’s Movie Week Move Shakes Up The Betting

Reigning Rose of Tralee Katelyn Cummins continues to woo the judges on Dancing with the Stars and remains the firm favourite with BOYLE Sports, despite Dublin entrepreneur Jordan Dargan making a major move in the betting following a standout movie week performance.

Dargan, who finished third on The Apprentice, lit up the dancefloor with a powerful contemporary ballroom routine that earned him an impressive 34 points, the second-highest score of the night. The performance sparked a surge of support from punters, with his odds slashed to 7/2 from 7/1, effectively halving his chances of lifting the glitterball trophy.

Despite the late charge from the Dubliner, it was Laois Rose Katelyn Cummins who once again set the pace on the leaderboard, holding onto her status as 5/4 favourite after another polished and confident display.

At the other end of the market, Anne Cassin and Paudie Moloney now find themselves drifting to 50/1, leaving them as the rank outsiders and most at risk of following singer Brian Kennedy out of the competition.

Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said:

“Jordan’s movie week routine was a blockbuster hit with punters, but Katelyn continues to set the standard and remains the dancer they all have to beat.”
